I would not come here again.
First, about the waiters. It’s not the waiters fault. They were the best part of this experience. The food arrived to our table within 10 minutes of ordering so I was really pleased with that. But the waiters, did nothing wrong, was scolded by a lady in the back of the restaurant for along time while my friend and I were dining. Everyone could see and hear them. I hope the waiters find better work environment soon because this is just wrong.
Second, about the food. I don’t know where to begin. But don’t trust the reviews (at least not all of them). They have a free drink policy where if you leave a review, you get a free drink. They also cooked they soup with what I think a whole tub of salt. I had never had so much salt in a soup. Now you can see the whole picture: people see the review - come to the place - has really salty and just in general not so amazing soup and other items - thirsty and want a drink but don’t wanna pay another penny to this restaurant - leaves a review so they can get a drink for free - more people see the review and come to have food. It’s a whole business cycle and they nailed it. I really don’t wanna bash on it too much, ultimately maybe people do like their food and I’m just the odd one out. But I really have to admit, I had so many Korean food from so many places, this is honestly the worst one. The pork was so dry, if you told me I was choosing an eraser, I would’ve believed you. Soup was salty, we covered that. Fried chicken was just not Korean fried chicken, the sauce was also not normal, surprisingly really vinegary. Just look at the batter, it’s not great. The potato pancake was flavourless and literally was bathing in a plate of oil when it arrived to the table. When my friend and I left, we could see all the three tables that we passed by on the way out, every one of them had at least 1/3 food left on the table. People literally did not even care to pack it up and take it home. It’s that bad. Again, I might be an unfortunate individual who happened to have the opposite experience of everyone else here but I will not recommend this place to others and will not come...
Read moreWanted to get korean bbq here and saw that the reviews were good. All was well until we sat down and realized that one waitress was struggling to attend to all the tables while running back and forth from the kitchen to each customer. There was another waiter who was a little slower at attending to the needs of the customers. It was frustrating trying to get their attention when ordering. The waiting time was too long and often we’d ask for something and sometimes the message would deliver to the kitchen while other times it wouldn’t so we’d be waiting for 10-20 mins for one item. Overall it wasn’t the best experience time wise and service from the staff. I understand it can be busy at times but this should be better controlled by hiring a larger serving team to attend to everyone’s needs on a timely manner.
Not to mention, the all you can eat menu was pricey for the quality you’re getting. Although you can order a lot, I found that some of the meat was bland and not very tasty. Spent around $45 per person.
Just some observations as well on the ventilation of the restaurant. There were exhaust fans for the grills but didn’t seem like they were doing much. The restaurant often became filled with plenty of smoke from the kitchen and grills cooking which lead to the air being thick and not much ventilation. No windows that could’ve been...
Read moreWe came here late on a Friday night and overall had a really good experience. The food was definitely the highlight, every single dish we tried tasted amazing and came out steaming hot. The dumplings were especially great, and the portion sizes were very generous. Honestly, the taste alone makes this place worth coming back to. That said, a few things could be better. The ambience was just okay, music was quite loud, there was even an alarm sound at one point, and the vibe wasn’t super cozy. Cleanliness was also average; a couple of dishes had some visible stains, which wasn’t the best first impression. The washroom setup was a little awkward too, pretty cramped and hard to close the door. Service started off a bit slow since the place seemed understaffed, there was only one middle-aged lady handling everything on her own. But she was incredibly kind and friendly, which made up for it. She explained things clearly once we got her attention, offered us complimentary side dishes, and even gave us a 10% discount at the end. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. All in all, the food was outstanding, the portions were big, and the service, despite being stretched, was very warm and thoughtful. I’d definitely come back and recommend it, especially if you’re here for the food more than...
