If you’re thinking of heading to Blanco Cantina for a Mexican food fix, don’t bother. This place isn’t even good enough to be considered the McDonald’s of Mexican food.
Food Quality The food was a major letdown. The braised beef was so dry it felt like chewing on old leather, and everything else was ridiculously salty. Instead of enhancing the flavors, the salt overpowered them entirely. Honestly, a trip to Chipotle would have been more satisfying.
Drinks That Don’t Measure Up Blanco Cantina also has some serious issues when it comes to their drinks. In Canada, a pint is supposed to be 20oz. What they served was supposed to be 16oz, and even that wasn’t filled to the brim. It’s like they’re rationing every drop while still charging for the full amount. For what they’re charging, you should be getting a proper, full-sized drink—this is just plain deceptive.
Atmosphere: A Disrespect to Local Artists As if the food and drinks weren’t bad enough, they’ve also managed to ruin the atmosphere by covering up beautiful, authentic works by local artists with AI-generated junk. The so-called “art” looks cheap, soulless, and is already peeling off the walls. It’s an insult to local creativity and leaves the place looking cheap.
Final Verdict Blanco Cantina fails on every front: food, drinks, and ambiance. The only thing memorable about this visit was how disappointing it was. If you’re craving Mexican food, skip this place entirely. There are better options—even fast food chains outshine Blanco Cantina in terms of...

GM calls me to follow up and is more concerned about his staff being "singled out online" than anything else. Pretty sure the point of a google review is to rate and describe your experience, which is exactly what I did.

Don't waste your time. I wasted enough time and money in this place these past few months they've been open. With the way they treat loyal customers, and their management style, I don't see them sticking around for too long.
Went in after work with a couple friends for tacos. We all ordered a drink as well. I asked for my bill and questioned it when I received it because there was only 1 shot of whiskey on it. Carter said I only had the one drink - but we had ordered tacos which is why I was confused.
After a little while we had another friend come join us, so I attempted to order another drink since we were sticking around. I'm then informed that the manager, Cassie, has told her team that they can no longer serve me. If you're going to cut people off after 1 drink, why serve people at all.
Cassie also refused to come out and speak with me.
I'll never be returning - if you want good tacos go...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went there this past weekend as we have been hearing a lot of good things about this restaurant. The aesthetic just walking by the restaurant from the outside is beautiful which carries into inside. The music was NOT what I expected thinking it was a Mexican/Spanish Restaurant you’d play something similar to the brand you’re promoting. But honestly it was FAR from it. Moving onto the food- there was a lack of flavour, anything with tomatoes looked like they had been sitting for quite some time. The tacos had 0 flavour and again considering it’s a Mexican/Spanish restaurant you’re supposed to bring lime with your tacos. The server disappeared half the time and after we had asked for the bill it probably took 20 mins to receive it. Personally I wouldn’t have given her a tip at all. She barely spoke to us other than at the end when she handed the bill and tried to make small talk hoping she would probably get something. My fiancé is great and gave her 20% but I working have. Personally we won’t be coming back. This was a huge let down especially because my partner is Mexican and I wanted to take him somewhere close to his roots. Very...
