We have been ordering from blondies for a long time now, and always really enjoyed it.
Recently, I placed an order through Doordash for 2 pizzas - one with regular crust, and one gluten free (I'm celiac but my partner is not). We then went out to take the dogs for a long walk (over an hour), the order was delivered within minutes of us returning home... but there was only 1 pizza, and it wasn't the gluten-free one.
I called the restaurant immediately, and they said "yes that item is out of stock". I asked "why wouldn't you call me to tell me?"
I could have ordered something else from another place (an hour earlier to avoid this issue), and the response was something like "that would be the manager who does that", so I asked to speak to the manager... they weren't available. I asked to have the manager call me at their earliest convenience to discuss this.
I later saw that I had gotten an email about a partial refund from Doordash, but I wasn't checking my emails when I placed the order, I was walking the dogs in the rain. Why would I think to look? The Doordash app showed everything looked normal (blondies is making your order, your dasher is on the way, etc.)
So I had no dinner, and couldn't eat the other pizza. It was after 10pm at this point. Too late to even bother trying another place.
And the manager never called me, this was over a week ago, so I guess it's not important to them. Really...
Read moreI really enjoy the food here but the owners intentionally make the food deliveries 5-7 am, park a transport truck outside for over an hour and wake up the neighborhood 4 days a week.I've complained about it but got told "too bad" in writing. Eat somewhere else like 241 just down the street - the owners are awesome.
April 12 - 4:30 am - they were nice enough to hire a grease trap removal service that woke up everyone in the residential area laneway they parked in for over an hour. Nice.
I know it's the law, but the Loblaws just down the street has a giant sign telling their drivers to not deliver before 7 because they actually care about the neighborhood with deliveries 7 days a week. They also don't "hope I understand" and park a fridge truck outside at 98...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of takeout at a pizza restaurant in Toronto, and I have to say, I was blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
But of course, the real star of the show was the pizza itself. It was simply outstanding - hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were generous and expertly paired to create a truly delicious pie.
But what really made this experience stand out was the outstanding service provided by the manager, Jordan. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She had a great sense of humor and clearly had a passion for both the food and the customers, which made for a truly...
