Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Toronto

Had this terrible experience on 24/02/2023. I placed my order for a spicy deluxe combo and 3 piece spicy tenders for dine in around 3:30 pm. They gave me the plastic thingy and asked me to be seated. They said the food would be served to the seat. It was a somewhat busy time. I found a seat on the berth near the entrance to the line for ordering across from the cashiers. I placed the plastic thingy they gave, almost 6 inches away, facing the cashiers, so it would be visible to the staff. I even reassured if the food would be served to where I sit, with one of the staff who was cleaning the dining area. He said 'absolutely'. I waited for 30 minutes, and no food was served. So I walked up to the takeout counter. I waited there, holding the Red plastic thingy for a while, hoping someone would attend to me. But nobody did. Then I called one of the staff, and told the issue. Then she asked if the order under this name, i said yes. Then she asked where I was sitting. I told her where i was sitting. Then she INSTRUCTED ME NOT TO HIDE THE PLASTIC THINGY NEXT TIME. I was like, what the hell, I kept it in a fair distance and open so that they'd see, and now they are teaching me how to hold stuffs??? It was such a terrible experience. I didn't hear a single word of apology. Not even once. Instead, they tried to teach me etiquette. Way to go. And the worst thing is, I wasn't sure about this till i had a bite from my sandwich that I ordered, they didn't even had the courtesy to redo my sandwich, the fillet was cold as it was made and kept for a while. Let me start by saying the chicken is on point. I picked up their chick-fil-a deluxe sandwich and it was delicious (add some Chick-Fil-A sauce to it and you can thank me later). The spicy chicken strips are indeed spicy. They taste like any other spicy chicken strip at first but in a few seconds, you'll experience the kick soon after. It's not ghost pepper hot or anything but definitely more than what you find at any other franchise. Plus, they give you the option of sampling a whole plethora of sauces to go with it. And they aren't the boring ones you typically find either. Their sweet tea does bring back fond memories of Chick-Fil-A down in the States though. The flavour profile is quite unique. And the service is exceptional at this location. Everything is so organized but considering how much staff they had on hand, it comes as no surprise. I probably waited 20 minutes at most.

Where I did find fault was in their waffle cut fries. With the 4 combos that I ordered, one container had a small sample of only partially cooked potatoes. I thought about taking a picture of it but I figured, considering how busy they are, you're bound to come across a slight issue with quality control. And to nitpick just a little, I find that the fries in general should be crisper. But then again, you're coming here for the chicken. Not the potatoes.

First time at this location and although there is a lineup it moved quickly. Original chicken burger was excellent, sweet tea was a nice change from the usual lineup of sodas. Waffle fries were good too. We chose the chick fil a sauce which was also tasty. This my go to for a chicken burger now. We found seats despite it being a busy time at the mall. Food was ordered and then brought to our table. Staff were friendly and focused. 4 stars for atmosphere as it is a noisy open area, but it was clean and well kept. Always lots of parking available at the Scarborough Town Centre. Prices are comparable to all the other fast food places. Good experience overall! We were given coupons for a free drink, and fries on our next visit when we order an entrée which was cool! Maybe because we were first time customers and we mentioned that? Thank you!
