Coco Espresso Bar — Restaurant in Toronto

I went to the Coco Espresso Bar for the second time yesterday and the service was very poor. When I arrived, it wasn't really busy and there was only one customer ahead of me, I waited patiently for the Barista to finish so I could order a simple machiatto. As the Barista was serving his customer, he looked up at me, made direct eye contact, he saw me waiting and there was nobody behind me. Four minutes after I arrived, another customer walked in and when the Barista was finished with his first customer, he actually asked both me and the man behind me who was next. The Barista knew full well that I had been waiting for over five minutes and the customer behind me just budded infront of me, started to order without a care in the world and the first customer rushed to my defense. She said to the Barista, "The man with the sandy brown hair was first and he has been waiting patiently for over five minutes, the man with the dark hair walked in a minute ago." The Barista just shrugged his shoulders, continued to serve the customer who came in after me and didn't apologize to me. When the Barista was finally free, he still didn't acknowledge his mistake and he abruptly asked me, "what do you want?" I wasn't feeling well yesterday morning and I really wasn't in the mood to teach the young boy manners or proper customer service skills. I just ordered my machiatto to go and it looked like a urine sample, after all that. Aside from the horrible service, the Coco Espresso Bar is too overpriced for the small amount of food and beverages that they serve. I will never go back there, I've lost...

Cafe with racism staff - very uncomfortable experience with the old female Italian server behind the counter. If you are an Asian and chatting while waiting for your turn, the server will skip you and ask the white couple behind you to come up first. I was with my friends and the client ahead of us made a big order, so we stood there and waited like 5 minutes. We even chatted with that client in front of the server, so there is no way the server didn’t notice that three of us had been standing there for a while and there were only 3 groups of people in total in the line. Then literally right after the server finished the previous order, she turned to the white couple behind us and whispered to them “come” and started serving them. I asked her “excuse me, you didn’t see us came in before them”. She is like “you guys talking”. I was shocked, since when customers are not allowed to chat while waiting in the line?! I was chatting but I was paying attention to what’s going on. I saw her whisper to them and I was still wondering what she is doing. Also the white couple pretended they didn’t see us either and just went ahead. She didn’t even bother calling us at all before she called the next client. When I confronted her, she was like “what do you want?!” I said “nothing! I will not spend any money at a place like this” it’s just disgusting experience to go through on a Friday night out.
