Dhillon’s Karahi — Restaurant in Toronto

The food here was mind-blowing. Wife found this place online, saw great reviews, and we decided to give it a try. What a find! Wonder why it took this long for us to discover this place. The food here is delicious. We were a party of four and all four of us enjoyed every single thing that we ordered. We got papdi chaat, pakoda chaat and chilli chicken for appetizers. You have to try these dishes! So flavourful, so refreshing. The taste was spot on. Spiced, just right. For mains we got a traditional chicken curry, lamb karahi and their daal makhani. The daal makhani is a must-have. Rich in taste and a lovely smokey flavour. The chicken and lamb were a lip-smacking too. The lamb in the lamb karahi was soft and tender, and full of flavour just like the gravy. Same for the chicken. We ordered butter naans, garlic naans and jeera rice. The naans were so crispy and flakey. Perfect for the dishes we ordered. For drinks, we ordered jal jeera and mango juice. You should definitely order the jal jeera, especially with summer right...

We have namely three Indian restaurant in this area, maurya east Indian roti, Kamasutra, and Dhillion's karahi. I have tried all three. But I would really suggest this restaurant over other two. It was my first time today to visit the Dhillion's Karahi. Mr. Dhillion, the owner of the restaurant is so humble and kind nature. He greeted me with a big smile, he is so down to earth personality. The food is pocket friendlier and not too expensive. I ordered non veg thali over the phone and then I went to pick it up. The food was ready within the stipulated time period. The non veg thali had chicken curry, paneer curry, rice and naan. They had many other options for this curry, you can pick your choice. The garlic naan that comes with thali is so soft and mouth watering. The curries was out of this world, the taste was so so good that I can't stop eating. Also, Mr. Dhillion offered me free Gulab Jamun as a complimentary desert which was so amazing. Above all that, he also offered me free pop/water which was so nice of him. I am surely adding this restaurant to my favourites list and will recommend others who like authentic Indian Mummy ke hath...

I used to run past this restaurant and the smell left my hungry for the rest of my workout, so I knew that I had to try it... and safe to safe I was not disappointed.

Firstly, the service from what I assume was the restaurant owner was amazing! This gentleman was so happy and provided us with some great recommendations and adjustments for our order to ensure we got a great experience of the food on offer.

My wife and I were both blown away by the food, we ordered the Samosa's, Palek Paneer, Lamb Karahi and Chicken Masala (alongside some rice and garlic naan) and everything was absolutely delicious.

My favourite dish was probably the chicken masala (which is what was recommended to us after we had ordered two similar dishes), but the Lamb Karahi was an extremely close second.

Either way I don't think you could go wrong with anything on this menu, and we will surely be back to...
