First visit. Totally an impromptu visit as I walked by heading home and spotted the new joint. Burger and fries combo for $10...whaaaaat? (Grand opening deal, but their regular prices are still very good, too).
[Update]: I went back and tried the Nashville Hot chicken, delicious! Sorry, no picture, it didn't last long enough!
Service: I was greeted very warmly, definitely friendly service. Guy taking my order (an owner?) was smiling and genuinely happy for the business.
Atmosphere: Very casual, so not much to say here. Mainly walked in, waited, and took my burger to go (I live very close). I still gave "atmosphere" a decent score since they are not trying to be much else. There are a couple small tables and mostly a bar around the perimeter. It's meant to be fast food-like so it's a drop in, eat, and go type atmosphere. So I'm rating fairly based on that.
Food: At that price I lowered my expectations but was pleasantly surprised! The burger was GREAT. No fancy gimics, nothing bougy, just a delicious burger with whatever toppings I wanted, served on a soft sesame seed freckled bun. The fries were simple and fried perfectly to be fresh, and crispy, yet soft in the middle.
Overall, a solid start! I think I'll try their Nashville Hot chicken...
Read moreFries are terrible. This was a large poutine, it was an almost empty container but maybe that's a good thing as It wasn't good, poor quality fries, they have a cheap frozen food taste and are barley salted. Gravy tastes artificial and flavorless and the cheese curds were not melted in the slightest. They have good burgers but they fries drag them down greatly. The two guys working there were kind and friendly. Unfortunately it's not cheap food The decorations inside are a vibrant all over the place eyesore, there are no "Good vibes" as the random neon sign says It's a shame this is the restaurant that replaced Great Burger Kitchen, it's almost the same but just a little worse...
Read moreHad takeout from here for the first time tonight and will definitely be back. We ordered the cheeseburger and Nashville chicken sandwich and both were excellent. The Nashville chicken sandwich is deceptively spicy - by the time I finished my eyes were watery. The burger has a special sauce that reminded me of a nicer version of Big Mac sauce. We also had Cajun fries and onion rings. The fries were perfectly done, crispy outside and soft inside with a lot of seasoning. The onion rings were not greasy at all as they can tend to be at other places. Overall this place was a hit for us and is a great addition to an already awesome stretch of restaurants...
