This spot underwent a little bit of an interior renovation and now they are open again.

I've never tried the banh mi from here so headed inside to grab some lunch on the way home. They also offer a lot more as well such as steamed buns, sticky rice, pyramid cake, and moon cakes.

In terms of COVID-19 safety, the counter staff wear masks at all times. There is tables inside for indoor dining although they are not spaced out at all. I think this place is really more for take-out then dine-in.

This banh mi has all the usual suspects you would expect in a Vietnamese banh mi including the deli meats, the lard, cilantro, and pickled veggie.

They also squeeze some sauce which tastes like a savoury teriyaki-style sauce into the bun. The veggie could be a little more tart to provide that brightness that it is lacking.

I found that if you take the sandwich away in a bag, make sure the open face of the sandwich points up otherwise the sauce leaks through thanks to gravity.

I asked for the sandwich to be spicy and saw them cut up the fresh chili pepper but failed to feel the heat when I chowed down. Where did the peppers go?

Price is fair for the size of the banh mi and the taste.

A happy find in the...

While I was waiting for my husband, I happen to be searching on the maps to see what was in our surroundings that I can pick up for our drive back home to Montreal. I am SO excited and happy that I found this place. I picked up two sandwiches (bbq pork and chicken) and a package of shrimp spring rolls… yum yum yum. I asked them to make it spicy. I thought they forgot at one point and then I had a random bite… it seems like all the chili peppers bunched up in one corner 😆 🥵 In any case. The reviews are pretty damn accurate. You go there, get ur subs and then go home to enjoy the hell out of it. I can guarantee you, I would do this again. It certainly hit the spot. Bbq pork was certainly the number one choice and the chicken is a super close seconds and the spring rolls, damn right worth every penny. I would love to try their steamed bun next time I’m in the area.

Ps. The price is extremely more than...

This was my first visit to this location and I was certainly glad I did. The ban mi sandwich was as tasty and fresh as I have had anywhere but the spring rolls were amazing!. Everything was fresh and the sandwich was stuffed full. A small but important touch was getting two containers of dipping sauce with the spring rolls. The lady serving me at the front was friendly, polite and very efficient. The Ban mi was fresh made inside of a minute. I did not check out the rest of the store but it seemed to be stuffed full of packaged Vietnamese foods and ingredients. I am going to visit again and will do some prior research as to what packaged delicacies I should be looking for. Payment was by cash or money transfer only. Fabulous tasty food at a great price. I will be back....

Average to good banh mi. I would eat there again if I was in the neighbourhood, but would not go out of my way to eat there, if that makes sense. The cold rolls actually stood out. There was something in the sauce that provided a delicious, meaty flavour every dip (glutamine?). Cheap prices like $5 per classic banh mi. Can't go wrong with that. Bonus: they were open at 10 am while other places opened at noon.

The best Banh mi in town it never disappoints. I love the fresh rolls. It takes a lot of time to make. So why not just buy them instead. I got there ealry before they ran out. Getting there for 9am was perfect. The banh mi bread was fresh and crunchy. The bao was also nice and warm. I was happy with my lunch. The server was friendly and polite. The prices were reasonable and the portions were good.
