I had driven past Gus Tacos countless times while visiting my brother, and I finally had the chance to give it a try. My experience at Gus Tacos left me with a generally positive impression. If you're in the mood for a quick and tasty taco fix at a reasonable price, this place is worth a visit. The interior of Gus Tacos might not scream fine dining, but it embodies the vibe of a no-frills, fast food taco joint. It's a place where you can roll in, satisfy your taco cravings, and get back to your day without breaking the bank. One thing that stood out during my visit was their hot sauce. If you're a fan of spicy, you're in for a treat. The hot sauce served here packs a punch, so be prepared to feel the heat. It's a nice complement to the flavors of their tacos. I decided to try two taco birria and one Chilacas Porta, and I was not disappointed. The tacos were flavorful, with tender, well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings. The Chilacas Porta offered a unique twist on the traditional taco, and it was a delightful surprise. Gus Tacos might not be the most gourmet taco place in town, but it certainly hits the spot when you're looking for a quick, affordable, and satisfying taco experience. If you're in the area and in need of a taco fix, give Gus Tacos a try. You won't be disappointed!

This has to be one of the best mexican/taco shops in the city, and by extension one of the best chains. It is fantastic that we got a location out here in the east end, and they do not disappoint. The tacos are reasonable at 5$ a piece and well worth it. The Birria and Barbacoa are outstanding, as always, but the Pastor should not be slept on, especially by Hawaiian pizza lovers. The mild green hot sauce is perfect for a small amount of spice, but fair warning, the max level spicy red one might be too spicy for some. The chips and guac are both very fresh and if you eat in store you get a very generous portion with a nice presentation. (The take out portions are still generous, to be clear). I also cant leave out how good the Horchata (Cinnamon + nondairy) and Jamaica (hibiscus based) drinks are. This has got to be my favourite Mexican restaurant now, and definitely one I find myself coming back to again and again for the incredible tacos. 10/10 would eat again.

We were driving by and decided to stop on a whim. We'd never been there before and never heard of it. It was a complete relief, therefore, to not be disappointed. We had 1 chicken taco 2 burritos (1-beef and 2- a beef×pork mix), 2 Chilaca asada 3 drinks: Jamaica (Hibiscus drink - tastes like a lighter version of Sorrel), Horchata (which reminds me of a vanilla chai), orange soda It was nice to enjoy authentic Mexican food in a no frills atmosphere. I love that 1) The food was freshly prepared by those of the culture, 2) lively Spanish music was playing, and 3) diverse groups were walking in and supporting the business. I hope GUS Tacos stays true to its roots and food; don't water down for anyone. We were still craving the food, so much so that I searched a recipe for tacos to try and replicate the taste at home days later. Will be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gus Tacos, and I must say that it was a delightful culinary experience from start to finish. This Mexican restaurant truly knows how to satisfy the taste buds with their exceptional menu, especially their mouthwatering fish tacos, chicken torta, chillaca, and fresh cheese avocado tacos and tortas

Let's start with the star of the show - the fish tacos. Words can not adequately express how amazing they were. The fish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flaky, bursting with flavor in every bite. The combination of the crispy exterior, the juicy fish, and the tangy, fresh toppings was a taste sensation that left me craving more.

Another standout item on the menu was the chicken torta. This Mexican sandwich was a delightful combination of tender, well-seasoned grilled chicken, soft bread, and an array of delectable toppings. The flavors melded together harmoniously, creating a truly satisfying and filling meal.

I also had the pleasure of trying the chillaca, which was a flavor-packed delight. The combination of grilled peppers, onions, and a choice of meat (in my case, chicken) was a burst of smoky goodness. Each bite was a perfect balance of spiciness and savory goodness, leaving me with a craving for more.

And let's not forget the fresh cheese avocado tacos and tortas. These were a vegetarian delight, featuring creamy avocado, tangy fresh cheese, and a medley of fresh vegetables. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine, making it a must-try for avocado lovers and vegetarians alike.

Beyond the incredible food, the service at Gus Tacos was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and passionate about their cuisine. They were more than happy to make recommendations and ensure that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable.

The vibrant and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall charm. It was clear that Gus Tacos takes pride in creating an inviting space for their customers to savor authentic Mexican flavors.

In conclusion, if you're craving an unforgettable Mexican culinary experience, Gus Tacos is the place to be. Their fish tacos, chicken torta, chillaca, and fresh cheese avocado tacos and tortas will transport your taste buds to flavor paradise. Give yourself the gift of a culinary fiesta and indulge in the exceptional offerings...

I was hesitant to write a review as I had heard that Gus Taco had excellent food. My experience with Liliana our server and the restaurant overall was disappointing. I had driven to the store from Pickering and upon arriving home with my order, I found that a burrito was missing from the order. Having to call and then make the 25 minute return trip to retrieve it was annoying. Liliana had assured me that everything was in my order when it was given to me. When I returned to the store I was given the original burrito that had been sitting there from the time I left to the time I returned.. A young man I spoke to tried to help and asked if we had been offered a free drink since our order contained 3 tacos and there was a promotion. Liliana originally took our order and at no time did she offer me a free drink. I was offered a freshly made burrito which I accepted. I also asked if I could get a gift card or some free chips for the inconvenience of having to return to the store. I was told no. In the end, I asked that if the cold burrito was being thrown out perhaps I could have it. I was told it was being thrown away but I couldn’t have it. Having been in retail and customer service field for many years, it was a major disappointment not having anyone (manager included) acknowledge or recognize the inconvenience I had to go through to come back and then not to even have a $4 bag of chips thrown in for my trouble. Very disappointing and this will discourage me from recommending or returning...
