I'd known about Juicy Dumpling for a while but never ventured until now. I get what all the hype is about! Located inside Dragon City, at the corner of Spadina and Dundas, Juicy Dumpling can be accessed both from inside the mall and with external doors on Dundas. Juicy Dumpling features a small selection of delicious treats. If you're craving dumplings, this is the place to be. Prices were affordable, food came out piping out, and everything tasted delicious - not too salty, savory, and full of flavour.

We decided to try their beef balls as well - couldn't resist for the listed special price. It was hot, savory, and delicious. Honestly, can't complain and a really easy eat. Assorted dumplings were also super tasty and of course, juicy! Close up shots were taken to showcase the sear on the bottom of the dumplings and the juicy fillings.

Now, for those who have never been to Juicy Dumplings, be forewarned, this is not your typical sit down restaurant. Everyone lines up to order, pays, and waits for their food. Once you get your food, you have the option to sit and eat in the restaurant (but note that seating is limited and often quite crowded) or you could take it to go. There is some seating in the Dragon City mall as well so that's where we ended up eating our food. On a nice day, you can easily grab a few boxes to walk and eat as you take a neighbourhood stroll.

There may not be any wait staff but service was swift, no issues, and food came as expected. I had no issues with the service.

So, if you're in the area and craving some dumplings, feel free to give this place a go. Just expect to line up for a bit...

I have always wanted to come here, I have passed by many times and their menu hook is 6 juicy dumplings for just $3.99. Not bad at all. This is in the heart of Chinatown, dumplings are a staple of Chinese food, so I was taken aback when the staff was south Asian: how authentic can it be when the food is not traditional yours? Indian cuisine done by Latinos? Sushi made by Caucasians? Mexican food made by Kenyans?...

Before I open race Pandora box further and get lynched let's acknowledge this is Toronto, okay? Multicultural like few and I have enjoyed superb meals made by "others" so let's go back to my review.

You order and pay first at the counter, you will receive a chirper that will sound when your order is ready. Seems like take out is king but there are a few tables for dine-in. Other menu items are soups, more dumplings but the pork dumplings hook are the best in my opinion.

They use containers made of cardboard, not Styrofoam so browny points for that. A table is set with chopsticks, napkins, soy and spicy sauce pouches.

My dumplings came and were delicious. I am not Chinese so I don't really know if they are traditional tasting or not, but for my "outsider" buds, they were heavenly. Juicy indeed, soft and tasty. I surely will come for more.

You are likely to come to have a good on-the-go meal, not to impress your next girlfriend. The place is not fancy not elegant but who cares? It's clean and the meals don't disappoint. They offer vegetarian options and free...

i have heard SO MANY GOOD THINGS about this spot i HAD to try it when my dumplings craving hit! i was going to order on ubereats but saw this place was just down the street, opted to go there in person instead!! firstly, it was quite busy!! people ahead of me and people consistently coming in behind me to pick up orders and place them! secondly, hot tip: it’s cheaper if you buy in-store! PLUS the restaurant gets 100% of the profits! ubereats takes a huge cut... if possible or if you’re in the area, it’s worth going in-person for! now... to the real review!: this was my first time here and the girl who took my order was SO polite and SO patient and SO helpful! i asked her questions and recommendations and she blew me away! she was so kind and so knowledgeable! i ended up ordering: (i will list the dumplings in the order they appear in the photo! right to left:) fried green onion pancake, bbq pork steamed bun, shumai with pork+onion, pan fried crab+pork dumplings, steamed pork soup dumplings, and pan fried crab+pork soup dumplings! everything i ordered was delicious so i have no doubts that every and anything else on their menu would be equally as yummy! i will definitely be recommending this dumpling spot to all my friends! 10/10 will be back and would recommend! if you love dumplings and you want a heck of a good price, look no further! affordable, delicious and excellent customer service!!! keep up the excellent...
