Before I start the review proper, I would like to share that they are currently having their Liuyishou Toronto No Leftovers Campaign which I managed to enjoy yesterday. Basically if you leave your plates empty (of course shells and stuff are not mandatory) or have a maximum of 100g of leftovers, you are entitled to a 12% off your total bill (unlike some other discounts elsewhere where 1 dine free for every 4 but you still have to pay the equivalent of tax for 4 persons) which is pretty significant! Say NO to food wastage!
Service (I know this is a big thing here): 5/5 Food Quality: 5/5 (ingredients are really fresh) Price: 5/5 (with 12% off) Overall: 5/5 (for me personally)
This is an AYCE (All You Can Eat) hotpot joint but soup base is not included and there are some premium add on items which comes at additional cost but if you stick to the items included, there is pretty much no chance of trying them all, unless you are with a large group and ask for small portions. I would say this is a mid tier priced AYCE hotpot and with the 12% off, it gets to the average tier pricing.
I had the beef oil spicy soup base (medium spicy, which they said was really hot) and the pork bone broth (very light but gets better as you cook more ingredients) for the dual soup bases pot at 18.95 (if I didn't recall wrongly). Price per pax was 28.95. Sauces, some really nice appetizers (like kelp, black fungus and pickled radish) and fruits are all included.
Beef and lamb slices were sliced perfectly and cooked to perfection in 10-15 seconds, prawns and mussels were frozen ones but they were still very fresh tasting when cooked. Prawn and squid pastes were great, tripes crunchy, pork blood was awesome. Great variety of vegetables.
They included some cooked food too, like deep fried pork with cumin powder, fried buns etc.
Overall I have nothing bad to say about this place. Do note that reservations are encouraged but if you have some time to spare and decided to come here at the last minute, they do walk-ins as well, which was what we did.
Fun Fact: This is Louyishou Hotpot's number 1066th branch in the world (says a lot about having that many...

The moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere and modern decor set the stage for a communal meal that is as much about the experience as it is about the food.
Service: (Xiao Lin and Jason) The service at Liuyishou is commendable, with staff members displaying a keen understanding of the menu and a genuine eagerness to assist. Our server provided insightful recommendations, ensuring that we felt comfortable navigating the various options available.
Ingredients: The star of Liuyishou is undoubtedly its selection of fresh ingredients. The menu features a wide array of high-quality meats, seafood, and vegetables, each thoughtfully sourced. The marbled beef and lamb slices were exceptionally tender, while the seafood, including prawns and scallops, boasted freshness that was evident with each bite. The vegetable platter was abundant, showcasing seasonal greens that added both color and nutrition to the meal.
Broths: Liuyishou offers a variety of broths to suit different palates. We opted for the signature spicy broth and the classic herbal broth. The spicy broth was robust, with a complex flavor profile that built gradually, providing a satisfying kick without overwhelming the palate. The herbal broth, on the other hand, was soothing and aromatic, serving as a perfect counterbalance...
Read moreFirst time hotpotter here and all I can say is wow. Was quite confused when we first went in not knowing how anything really works, but staff was friendly and took the time to explain it. Essentialy you pay a fee (I think when we went for dinner was 32$/person) which gets you 2 hrs unlimited eating, however you do have to pay an extra 8-10$ per soup base. We tried the mushroom and the Liu's house special soup (House special ended up being our favorite). Then you get an unlimited choice of proteins , noodles, veggies that you dip, dunk or cook in the broth right on the tabletop. After we ordered a flurry of servers had everything on the table within minutes it was crazy good service. With our soups on the table, which have built in elements, bubbling away it was time to get started. Fresh great food, attentive service asking if we wanted to keep adding items I must say I was impressed. This place would also be amazing for groups. Only drawbacks... We didn't know what we were getting into, and had a show to catch so only had about 45 mins we were absolutely stuffed to the gills GO HUNGRY , and have lots of time to get your $ worth. Ended up being about 60$ per person after drinks and tip. Absolutely...
