For six long years, my culinary journey had been an unwavering pilgrimage to the sacred haven known as Karahi Point. A sanctuary renowned for its tantalizing Chicken Karahi and a haven of unparalleled hospitality. Yet, on this fateful evening, I departed with a heavy heart, my head swaying in disillusionment.

Accompanied by cherished family members, newly arrived on Canadian soil, we ventured to introduce them to the culinary marvel that was Karahi Point. The anticipation was palpable as we placed our order, patiently awaiting the culmination of our shared gastronomic expedition.

Time, it seemed, was a reluctant companion that night. A full half-hour elapsed before our eagerly awaited dishes graced our table. When the food finally arrived, in a careless abandon, the server dumped the plates and utensils in one corner of our table and walked away, leaving us to pass the dishes around ourselves.

Just as our collective hunger led us to begin our meal, fate intervened. The server, seemingly oblivious to the essence of timeliness, reappeared to deliver the dire news that one of our chosen delights was absent from the kitchen's menu. By now, a substantial 45 minutes had elapsed since our initial order, and our famished party had already embarked on their culinary voyage.

With resigned patience, we opted for the Paneer Tikka Masala as a substitute, hoping to rekindle the dwindling flames of our culinary aspirations. This hasty replacement, however, arrived with unseemly promptness, betraying a disturbing lack of craftsmanship. It bore the resemblance of a tomato soup concocted from humble canned tomatoes, with a mere 6 desolate pieces of paneer floating adrift in its insipid depths. A tasteless and disheartening betrayal of our gastronomic expectations.

In any other setting, I might have forgiven such negligent service, but this was no ordinary establishment. Karahi Point was billed as an Indian fine-dining sanctuary, where a meal's worth was a princely sum of $50 per person. To endure such a trifling quality of fare and service in exchange for such a substantial investment was nothing short of intolerable.

Thus, on this melancholy night, the luster of Karahi Point had dimmed, leaving a bittersweet aftertaste in the venture of my...

We had a reservation today at Karahi Point Thorncliffe for iftar, but unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. There was no proper arrangement for iftar, and the setup felt incomplete. The menu lacked variety, with no fruit or other drink options aside from overly sweet Jam-e-Shireen.

Service was poor, as no one cleared the plates from the table, and the food options were underwhelming. The naan and chicken were acceptable, but the frozen rolls and small samosas had an unpleasant taste. The tea was far from enjoyable, and the gulab jamun was frozen and of subpar quality.

Overall, the lack of organization and the poor quality of food and service made it a disappointing dining experience. There’s significant room for improvement.

❌Your all explanations is incorrect ❌

I would like to address my experience at your restaurant's Iftar buffet. Contrary to your claims, there were no drink options available apart from overly sweetened Jam-e-Shireen. I have a video from today’s buffet as evidence. regular chai is available and Items that were mentioned on the menu, Malai Boti, Regular Chai, Kashmiri Chai, Masala Chai, Chicken Pulao, Fried Rice, Kabab Karahi, Chicken White Karahi, Ras Malai, Halwa, Lab-e-Shireen, and Custard. None of these were present. I checked thoroughly. These were missing

The food quality was disappointing. The frozen rolls had an unpleasant taste, the goat curry had a strange flavor, and the meat was discolored and black. The service was equally lacking—no one came to the table to check if we needed anything, refill drinks, or even clear the plates.

improve your service and ensure honesty in your advertisements. Customers trust your menu, and it should reflect what is actually being served.

Your claim that I could have addressed this on the spot is unreasonable, as there was no one present to assist or resolve concerns during the buffet. When compared to other buffet restaurants, I found your selection of dishes limited and the customer service far below standard.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements to provide a better dining experience for...

Long comment ✌️

We had a late lunch yesterday, and we wanted to try something different, especially since we live around the area and are kinda curious about Karahi Point - we usually check vegetarian resto around us; the ambiance is good, one recommendation... maybe good music will do some justice to the very quiet atmosphere 🎵 🎶. Often, restaurants played their own chosen music to have that culture immersion in a way. Having said that, my rating could have been better if we did not hear the employees fighting about "whose going to clean the tables outside ?" --- how I understand? My partner is an Indian and we were super uncomfortable, and the other table too ( who came next to us ) were looking so confused about the whole noisy arguments in the kitchen. First and foremost, I used to work in the hospitality industry, so I know these things happen and can not be avoided, yes... but also, there is the term that my boss used to tell us ( employees ) - the inside the house and out of the house manners... if you know what I mean, these differences can be settled when there are zero customers who are feeling awkward listening to the "loud" discussions about cleaning and helping each other. We are all looking at each other like "what's going on?" We wanted to leave... but then again, it's almost 3 p.m. and we are extremely hungry. I hope you guys can change these as behaviour so that people can come back with a pleasant and good vibe reputation of your restaurant. I will not name drop as you can deal with these internally.

• Food wise -- good.. little paneer, though😊

• Decor -- pleasant, floor was slippery yesterday. The cleaning products and table cloth were all scattered in the table ( pathway to the kitchen )

Hope this review can help to better your...
