We had an Eid Lunch at our downtown office for around 30 people - and we decided to go with Mandi Afandi for catering.

We first called the restaurant about 2 weeks before the event - the woman at the cash was very unaccommodating. She told us to call the day before our event to place an order, she mentioned there was no way to have the order prepared by the time we needed it and she refused to take the order in advance. It was very frustrating at first because we had a large order of almost $700.

We then placed a pickup order online for the time we needed it ready (11:00AM) one week before and paid, received a confirmation email etc. We called again, the lady at the front mentioned she received the order but there was still no way they could have it ready on time as this is not a "normal order". I insisted and asked her many times when she finally said she will speak with the Chef to see what they could do

The Chef, Omar was very very very friendly and a pleasure to work with. He called me himself, and told me not to worry, the food would be separated and packaged the way we needed it, by the time we needed it. He assured me everything would be the exact way we wanted it.

We received the food packaged well, on time and prepared with so much care. Everything was perfect, and so very delicious. Omar also called me in the evening after our event and asked how everything was, he asked whether we liked the food and if we received it on time. He provided us with 5-star service.

Because of Omar, we will order from Mandi Afandi again and again in the future, however we will ensure to deal with him directly because it was stressful dealing with the other staff who were not willing to accommodate a catering order.

Even our courier who we used to pick up the food said that Omar was very friendly and he will take his family to the restaurant again.
