Was in the area and decided to try as I’ve had friends talking about them and seeing people stating these were the best bagels. Ordered three items : bagel dog, pepperoni bagel and tuna salad sandwich. So there my breakdown: The Good: the bagel dog was actually really good. I asked to have ketchup, mustard and mayo but for me it was the bagel itself. The toasted sesame seeds have a nice crunch to it and the smell was amazing. Honestly a 9/10. Only loses a point because the bagel fell apart. The bad: the pepperoni bagel had taste. The cheese had enough salt to. Are the bagel. I would recommend to them instead of putting the pepperoni under the cheese , to put it ontop. I found the pepperoni wasn’t cooked and having had pizza bagels from other establishments like Great Canadian Bagel, you can tell the difference between a cooked/heated piece of deli meat and one that was cold. The bagel had a decent texture, wasn’t sure what kind of bagel it was. 6/10 The really bad: the tuna...I love tuna on a bagel and this just wasn’t what I expected. There was no taste. I literally scooped it out at home, added some mayo, salt, pepper and some mustard and spooned it back on. Where it really comes down to being really bad for me, I asked for my sandwich to not have tomatoes and to have lettuce added. The cashier confirmed that with me as they punched it in. When I reached home not only did I not find lettuce but found tomatoes. The side of bagel without the tomato it was good. A little bland but it had that nice texture. Unfortunately the moisture from the side of the bagel with the tomato was soggy and it just wasn’t enjoyable. 1/10. This sounds harsh, but the time of my order I was the only one(surprisingly) ordering and was in there by myself for about 5 minutes. I would return to buy the bagel dog and maybe try the pastries, but just surprised by the hype and the letdown. Aesthetically the place is great. Loved the layout and it’s nice and bright. The cashier who helped me was really polite and quick to process my transactions.

Had a pretty good experience overall I must say, but I think some of the Bagels I’ve had in Montreal and New York still reign supreme. I think this is a new location so hopefully it’ll get better with time. This location has plenty of parking, a nice layout and kept clean. The girl at the register was super friendly and the menu was clear and straight forward. Plenty of options to choose from or customize something on your own. Prices for their Specialty Bagel sandwiches are a tad high I think for what you get at $8-$10 for some they should be a bit more filling you would hope, regardless they were pretty good. The bagels are prepared fresh and cooked in a wood fired oven I think turn out real nice. They are a bit thin for my liking as you don’t get that full bagel chew and somewhat fall apart and slightly dry when toasted and don’t hold the sandwiches too well, but have a nice taste overall. Plenty of Bagel flavours to choose from and the single bagel price point is more than fair on its own. We tried a few different options on our visit to get the full experience and were quite pleased overall. To my surprise the most basic and least expensive option was my favourite to be honest, they have a really nice Cream Cheese there and spread it on generously so make sure you try that out if it’s up your alley. Customized one of my own using a Garlic Bagel (amazing) Toasted, with Garlic Cream Cheese (superb) and added some tomatoes to freshen it up a bit and let me tell you it was out of this world, my favourite one of the bunch to say the least (try it out one day and you can thank me later lol) Great place overall, hopefully with a few tweaks and improvements over time I’d love to come back and give them a 5 Star review someday as they’re almost there already 👌🏼

I come here every week to get my bagels. I always get the everything bagels and chocolate chip bagels. This time however, instead of chocolate chip bagels, I got a bag of blueberry bagels instead of choco chip and I just so happen to hate blueberries. So I had a few ruined mornings because of this incident (I thought it was just one bagel at first). I called this morning to arrange compensation for this hoping I can get the bagels I paid for. I spoke with the manager on the phone and all was well, they were going to compensate me with a “free” half dozen of the chocolate chip bagels which I was fine with. When I called to change the time of pick up, a man rudely told me I do this all the time and that I always do this to get free bagels. I told him that this was a first and that I already made arrangements with the manager. He then yelled at me saying”I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TRYING TO DO YOU DO THIS EVERY WEEK YOU ALWAYS CALL AND COMPLAIN TO GET BAGELS.” I tried to explain to him this was a first and that today was the first time I’ve ever called before. I confirmed my name and tried confirming my phone number but he cut me off and said I’m not getting the free bagels I was promised and not to come back since I’m not happy with the service and to go in to see the manager AND HE HUNG UP ON ME. I’ve never in my life been treated this way by an employee and it was very hurtful since I’m a returning customer who buys bagels every week from this place because they’re that good.

So I had to go out of my way to address this immediately and go in to speak with the manager. The manager was nice about it and gave me the bagels to compensate. I asked for the man to apologize to me because he was extremely rude but she didn’t allow for it to happen and instead apologized on his behalf.

Turns out this man mistook me for someone named “Mallie” who apparently always does this. However, it was very unfair of him to accuse me of this person and to straight up yell at me and tell me not to go back there. I can identify the rude employee that I spoke with on the phone but I’ll leave that out of my review.

Also they put the beeper for when the bagel dog is ready in my bag of bagels which I discovered when I got home. I don’t know what was going on with the staff that packed my order that night.

It was truly a disappointing experience. I hope the staff can be retrained in mannerism and etiquette. This was unbelievable and it’s such a shame because everything about this Kettleman’s location is great EXCEPT the...
