I always come here for the vegetarian dim sum. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but I find the dim sum quite faithful to its meat counterparts. Flavour and texture both well done. Absolute gem to be able to get vegetarian versions of food that traditionally contains meat. There is also a little take-home section where you can purchase vegetarian frozen items to take home and make yourself. Some of the items for purchase are directly from the menu too!

I have always experienced good service. Polite and unobtrusive. Friendly when my friend and I were confused how we should try to eat one of the new dishes we ordered (answer was wrap in the lettuce leaf and eat with your hands). I tend to eat at quieter times, which means the food is usually ready pretty quickly. I think it is important to understand that Eastern establishments have different expectations for service than Western ones. The servers won't repeatedly come and check on how the food is tasting and ask whether they can get you something every 5-10 minutes. If you need something, politely get their attention and they will...

This place was highly recommended by avid plant food lovers. Overall this is a very affordable vegan dining option with high value eats. Seating wise, there's a lot of space and usually it's safe to walk in. The menu is extensive with a great variety of options sure to satisfy nearly all diners. We tried so many different dishes - from sushi, fried rice to fried meat substitutes - and everything was good! The larger tables also have a lazy Susan which makes sharing these large portions fun - and the best way to dine here is in a big group. They also have tea specials. The location is also great, being nestled in Kensington Market. I think we had a new server, she was friendly but kept consistently messing up with serving basics throughout the dining experience (#utensils, tea cups and bowls etc. needed for our group) - the restaurant was very quiet that cold day so we were one of the few groups dining. We also ordered some extra dishes but the order never went through to the kitchen properly so we had to leave without it due to time...

This is normally my favourite restaurant to visit when I am back in Toronto. However, I came here for my birthday dinner and was extremely disappointed with the service. We were a group of 7, and only two people received their meals after ordering. After 35 minutes of waiting, the other five of us got our meals. When asking the servers about any updates, they were short with their answers and offered no compensation. We arrived at 1pm to eat, and we only all received our meals by 2:15. As someone who has worked in the service industry as a server and as a line cook, the coordination of this operation was astonishing. My family and friends felt frustrated, undervalued, and disappointed in the service we received. No one apologized, gave an explanation, or was attentive to our needs. There is a clear disfunction between the back of house and front of house. Wish this could have been a better time at what used to be my favourite...

Honestly ive been here twice and both times it wasnt anything special but this time specifically i was wondering what i paid $20 for.... the wonton soup was literally water with sesame oil and tasteless wontons. And my bento box....i dont even know what it is.... tofu with seaweed on the bottom.. tasted kinda like fish... a flavorless spring roll and plain rice...also that salad..i cant. The dressing tasted like tang drink crystals...was this a dessert? There wasnt even soya sauce or anything on the table to make this taste good. Gave it a 2 star because the waitress was kind and for having vegan options but please learn how to flavour your food! Just a pile of hot nothing! I wont be back

Really enjoyed the vegetarian / vegan dining experience here and will definitely come back. Restaurant is quite spacious with lots of tables and well spaced out. There is a section at the back with frozen and non-perishable food selection and variety of tea options for purchase. Food was great. Really enjoyed the dim sum items, especially the siao mai and sticky rice. Found the rice noodle a bit soft but tasted better when you leave it a bit at room temperature. Try the Rooibos tea and if you like it, you can buy a box from the back! 2 things for improvements: (1) Have common condiments available on the table - soy sauce, vinegar, hot sauce. (2) Have a mid to larger size tea pot.
