This was a bit of a mixed bag for my father and I. The prices are great, the service was friendly. No issues there. The problem lies with the food itself. Of course food is a massive part of going out to eat. I got the "Eggs Salmonie", Salmon Eggs Bennie. Everything looked great as the plates arrived. Cutting into the eggs Bennie the eggs were completely overcooked and hard. if you're looking for a runny egg here this isn't the spot. Someone at the next table ordered a classic Bennie and I noticed they had the same hard lump when cutting through. My home fries had little taste but I was grateful they had been done with Onions so I could taste something. For an all day breakfast place it could do better in those areas. My father got the most expensive item. The steak with mushrooms and onions. The waitress asked him how he wanted it. He asked for medium rare. The steak itself was cooked very much into the well done mark and was a very grizzly cut of meat. When my dad adds ketchup to a steak it's been ruined and he definitely added ketchup. He was not happy with his steak. The fries for his side were perfectly fine.
On a good note the beer was served very cold and on a hot day...

Yes, they have a liquor license.
Reservations are a good idea on the weekend, and especially for brunch.
If accessibility is an issue, they do have a ramp to put into place. However, the washrooms are in the basement. This is a very old building so the restaurant is unable to make big changes.
The place is long east to west, and short north to south. It's cozy with still a lot of room to seat people. It's a whole different ball game in summer with the patio open.
They have a full menu. Lots of breakfast options - eggs and bacon to pancakes to eggs benedict plates. They have hamburgers, sandwiches, pub grub, and dinner plates.
The tables are small. Two people would be hard pressed to have a meal at the same table. My table was also very wobbly. The top was loose and the base was wobbly. It was a little like eating on a sailboat.
The service is good and the people friendly. The service speed is varied. I think that's mostly a matter of some servers being more experienced.
Soft rock plays in the background. The volume is okay. It's very much background music. You're okay if you like music from The Beatles and...
Read moreAll day breakfast, lunch and dinner place. Got a table quickly. Outdoor patio is large with small wooden seats and tables. Be careful with the chairs as they are not meant to sit for a long time. Breakfast was reasonably priced. I got the Veggie Express for $14.95, which was two-three eggs, hashbrowns with onions, grilled tomatoes and toast. Hashbrowns are a different type, not crispy...salad was iceberg lettuce with salad dressing. My overeasy eggs were on the runny side, whites were undercooked. Choices of toast: rye, white or brown. My food mate had the larger "can't talk eating special" for $18.95 which had two pieces of french toast on the side of a express breakfast. French toast was the best part, not too much egg...spiced well and not too sweet. Has the option of adding syrup. This special is the best deal for breakfast! Overall nice place for a relaxing breakfast, limited waiting for a table, and reasonably priced. If your looking for no wait, reasonable priced, and standard breakfast, this is the place for you. Service was nice, they always had a person filling water cups, but I think they ran out of water cups when the...
