I recently visited a Turkish restaurant my friends highly recommended, specifically for its doner—what Turkish people call the dish that’s similar to shawarma. They told me to check out Koz Bingol Express, and I’m so glad I did. This was, without a doubt, the best doner experience of my life.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the sight of multiple spits, each slowly roasting chicken and beef to perfection. The beef immediately caught my attention, and when I asked for a recommendation, the staff confidently suggested it. I opted for a wrap, and let me tell you, the wrap itself was incredible. It seemed homemade—soft, fresh, with visible roasting marks that added a subtle smokiness to every bite.
The beef was the star of the show. Watching it roast, with juices glistening and running down the sides, was enough to make my mouth water. The staff sliced the beef fresh off the spit and straight into my wrap—something I’ve rarely seen. At most places, they use pre-cut meat that’s reheated, but not here. This felt so much more authentic, and the freshness was undeniable. Plus, the portion was very generous—this wrap was loaded with flavorful, juicy beef.
I asked for everything on it, and the combination of toppings took it to another level. The garlic sauce, hot sauce, and other fresh ingredients created a perfect balance of flavor. Every bite was a burst of savory, spicy, and creamy goodness.
This doner was a thousand times better than anything I’ve had before. The freshness, the quality of the ingredients, and the incredible flavors made it an unforgettable experience. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable for the portion size and quality.
If you’re looking for the best doner (or shawarma, if that’s how you know it), Koz Bingol Express is the place to go. I can’t recommend it enough—it’s a must-try for anyone who appreciates...
Read moreI just had a quick lunch and I was truly impressed. We sometimes forget how important and lasting the first impressions always are. I felt welcome the second I walked in. A genuine smile and a heart felt welcome made the delicious food even better tasting. The portions are more than generous and the prices are very reasonable in correlation to the high quality of the ingredients and the chefs’ skills . I had the doner salad and it was perfect- the meat was sizzling, the salad was freshly cut and the freshly baked pita bread came hot and fragrant. It was lunch time and it was getting busy , but the friendly lady welcome immediately every customer and promptly delivered the ordered food. The Turkish tea was a great addition , too. Overall, my visit to Koz Bengol brightened my day and reminded me that genuine hospitality is an art and tradition , which is sorely absent in Toronto and I am so glad that the professional staff at Koz Bengol never failed to deliver this message in their subtle ways. I highly recommend Koz Bengol and I can absolutely guarantee that you’d wish, like me, had patronized the business earlier. Thank you for making me feel welcome and thank you for the delicious food and fast and impeccable service. I wish you success in all aspects of your business and thank you for giving Torontonians the opportunity to taste the many different dishes of the delicious...
Read moreI ate here not too long ago and I’ve used this establishments washroom after I PAID the bill in FULL. So I am a returning customer for what it’s worth. On June 1st @ 8:38PM I walked in with my gf to use the washroom. I was told by a lady working here at this date/time at the front cashier that we can’t use the washroom unless we buy something. I said sure. I’ll buy this (treat) she says “it will take some time” lol ok, we wait. She comes back she says you can go to the washroom now. So my gf goes to the washroom. She comes back out. This lady says you don’t have to buy anything. After we waited some time… why would you give us this run around??? Why not let me pay for the treat for the time being wasted? You make us wait to use the washroom and then make us wait to buy a treat so we can be eligible to use your washroom only to say we don’t need to buy anything. Lol. On top of that this lady has an attitude. Everything takes time lady. Time is money. I’ll pay for what I want. Make me wait and someone else makes you wait. That’s life. C’est la vie. Here’s pics of the food I got from this place not too long ago. I won’t be returning. Message to owner returning customers keeps a...
