Lima Charlie’s — Restaurant in Toronto

We got a chance to check out our neighbourhood bar @limacharliepub & honestly this place was nothing like we expected! First things first, this place gives a very chill vibes. As soon as you step in you are greeted with 2 massive gold arcade games adjacent to the fully stacked bar & tons of seating! The music is super casual & because it is a sports bar you literally get a view of a screen no matter where you are seated & that’s why there is no such thing a best seat in the house. Okay, moving on to the drinks and food. Safe to say, I repeat, safe to say this is hands down the tastiest food I’ve eaten in a pub! Take my word for it because that #poutine was #bombdotcom like given a chance I’d eat it every single day (prolly not the best for my gut but my palate will surely be wrapped)😂 && the Tex Mex Salad Bowl was so freaking delicious &&& my absolute favourite was Charlie’s Burger!!! Like that one burger is literally two meals in itself but if you have the appetite — kindly smash it down! Moreover, the cocktails slapped & the beer was just what you needed — crisp & fresh! Like you can’t go wrong with a pale ale! Last but not the least, I’d love to thank Meaghan & her amazing team for their hospitality. "Your new local", indeed!

This used to be a Gabby's and I'm quite happy to report that the owner bought themselves out from Gabby's and has gone independent which has improved this bar ten-fold. The food now is solid and some stuff (wings) is sourced from the St Lawrence Market and they offer great happy hour and weekly deals (1lb $10 wings on Tues and Thurs, $5 house brew which is actually good). The food is solid pub fare with lots of options and non-alcoholic drinks too. I've tried 6 menu items and liked them all.

The new decor is nice and modern with a touch of character. Love that they kept the golf machines but updated everything else. The window seats are really nice.

If you like sports you'll know that there aren't many places to watch a game but this bar has nice TVs throughout and we go to watch Hockey. However, it isn't just a sports bar vibe, it's got more than that going on

My recommendations are: improve the daytime music playlist it's a bit slow/sappy. The evening stuff was better and more upbeat.

Also suggest you get a special brunch menu option (killer eggs Benny or something on the weekend?) to get some of the diners from next door at petit dejeuner who don't want to sit in the crazy lineups for that place.

I came in around 8 yesterday for the 1/2 wings and received the worst service by the blonde lady. She’s very old in the face and looks like she gets ready in the dark. I came in and wasn’t greeted. I looked around and waited, then asked if I could sit anywhere when a server appeared. She said yea and I sat down. I made sure to sit around people, so she’d be able to see me. She never brought me a water, or even a menu.. after about 10 - 15 minutes, I saw someone leave from the kitchen and I had to ask them for a menu. I don’t even know if he was a server, but I didn’t see him serve anyone else afterwards so… As I sat, I watched the lady server greet and tend to all the other guests, She caressed them, made jokes and even played with a guests hair in front of me, it was incredibly uncomfortable. I was there for 30-40 mins and the lady ignored me the entire time except to ask me for a take out container. I had to essentially chase her for the bill as she was trying to speed past my table. It was uncomfortable, gross and felt prejudiced. Even after I was done, I went looking for the male server guy so I can tip him personally, but I couldn’t find him and I didn’t trust the lady to be honest just based on how she treated me there.
