Saw MSC on TikTok/social media & just had to give it a try. Wife & I decided to splurge on Valentine’s Day 2021 for something different & new. We ordered the grilled Calamari, Lobster Roll & Grilled Cheese Lobster sandwich. All were very good but the cheese was def lacking in the lobster sandwich tbh. It did not look anything like the pics on TikTok or social media. I actually wondered if the cheese was added. The Grilled Calamari was good too but only 3 pieces for $15? It should’ve been 4 at the very least. Maybe they think the fries compensate for the portion size of the Calamari... Thus, though everything was satisfying- it was still lacking. If you advertise a Grilled Cheese Lobster sandwich the cheese should be bountiful/suffice. It wasn’t sadly. The coleslaw & fries were good though. Lobster Burger Bar on King Street W. is still my fave seafood Resto in TO. But I’ll try MSC again in the future & update/upgrade my review@that time if portions improved. Let’s hope so 🤞🏾 May 2025: Visited MSC again today with wife & food was good. We had the Tacos, Grilled calamari & smash burger. All were delicious. Best of all, however, was the fantastic service by Tarana! She was so polite, friendly & personable. She cleaned/sanitized our table, brought us our drinks & was so patient & professional with her friendly service. It was a busy Saturday afternoon at MSC but she handled the business & customers very smoothly. I was duly impressed with her ability & service! Thank you Tarana. Great job. We’ll be back again soon because of YOU! 💯

Great place when you’re looking for some seafood. The menu is simple to understand and decide what you want, but they also have a TV screen that has a slide show of food plates which is amazing because I like some visuals to help me decide what to order when everything on a menu sounds great! I ordered the coconut shrimp with a Caesar salad. Comes with sweet chili sauce and coleslaw. Not usually a fan of coleslaw but this one is so good and light. I’ve been here three times and order the same thing but this is the first time they charged me for extra sauce? They already give it to you in an extremely small container so I don’t understand why they would charge extra. My friend ordered the halibut fish and fries. They overload the fries way too much and don’t really balance it with the right portion of protein. The halibut was lightly breaded which is nice but it was way too small of a portion for the price. Wouldn’t order that again.

catch is located just opposite the SLM, boasting a menu similar to Buster’s. I ordered the Lobster Roll with Salad side (also comes with fries side) for $23. with great price comes great expectation. were they met? well. kind of. roll was made on the spot, with a short wait time and very friendly staff! i’m not a bit lobster eater, if any at all, and the taste of the roll when I first bit in took me by surprise. there’s a mix of spices, herbs and sauces to bind the lobster meat together, the richness thing nicely together with the light salad and vinegar gravy that slices through. coleslaw also provides another edge of crunch and texture to the roll. the bread was also soft and buttered nicely, the the cherry tomatoes in the pasta (while limited) was surprisingly fresh and tasty. all around a pretty balanced meal with a portion that’s just a tad too much for me (but that really means more for later!) - broke college kid

Had one of the worst experiences of my life at this place. Firstly, it was strange that they wouldn't let people eat on their patio even though there was 50 mins left til closing time. They're not full service, you order at the counter, so I don't see why you'd close a tiny patio of 4 tables so early. I ordered my food to go as I did not want to eat inside and it took a long time. The lobster salad inside the roll tasted like someone dumped an entire box of salt, it was completely inedible and could probably send a person with high blood pressure to a hospital. I wasn't about to dump $22+ in the trash, so I went back. The cashier offered to exchange it for another meal, which I didn't want (specifically came for a lobster roll). The cashier wouldn't give me a refund and said the lobster salad in the back was from the same batch so would taste the same. So I insisted on a refund and she called what I'd guess is the manager. The manager, without even tasting the lobster salad mixture they had in the kitchen, proceeded to tell me very rudely that it's their most popular dish and they don't put salt, so that's how it's supposed to taste, accusing me of either being a liar or crazy. She finally gave me a refund but would not apologize for the mistake and when two different customers approached her to tell her she was being rude and unreasonable, she yelled at them. She proceeded to yell at me as I left the store after giving up on the hope she'd admit the kitchen made a mistake and apologize. All the guests in the store were in shock. This was a simple kitchen mistake that could have been easily solved without any insults and aggressive behavior. How this manager acted was completely appalling and unacceptable and this woman should not be working in customer service or managing a...

I am writing while NOT eating the sandwiches I just bought at Market Street Catch. I ordered for take out and the caller receiving my order was just cleaning the open kitchen aisle with a broom that the cashier who handled cash had just used and he was also moving a cart with plastic bins in the aisle while sweeping, holding the dirty broom handle with both hands as my fish was being cooked. He was wearing one glove and the other was bare. I watched intently, as I was hoping he would change the glove and wash his hands if he was my sandwich maker, as this was very unsanitary. To my dismay he was the cleaning person but my sandwich maker too and proceeded to start touching my food. I had to get off my chair and knock on the glass to get his attention and asked him politely to change his glove. He told me he did - a bald faced lie. Then he put his gloved hand up to show me it's condition - as if I could see if it was clean or not! After that display of contempt, he reluctantly agreed to change the glove but never did wash his bare hand. After making the sandwiches, he whistled extremely loud to get attention from the cashier for a take-out bag. It was totally inappropriate and rude and I can't eat what he touched. I blame myself for not asking for my money back after he lied to me but I had that food last week and it was super delicious - it clouded my judgement. But now I have 2 sandwiches I paid 23$ for and just cant bring myself to eat them - very upsetting! You need to educate food handlers - especially when they are in an open kitchen and people are so aware of cleanliness. His attitude was rude to me and his co-worker, I will never go in if I see...
