I came through the drive thru at around 11pm a Thursday or two ago to get an Egg McMuffin with no meat add lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I am vegetarian, therefore the no meat was important, and being that I paid extra for the add ons, those were important too. However, when I got home that night, I had gotten a regular Egg McMuffin with the meat, no add ons, and no receipt. I could not eat the food that I paid for because of my dietary restrictions, so I had to throw it out. I proceeded to call the location four-five times with no answer each time. I decided to instead go in on my way to work this morning to get my sandwich. So, this morning at 11am, I came in and asked for a remake of my sandwich. At first, I was told that a full remake of my sandwich would be done with no problem. However, soon the employee came up to me to tell me that her manager had said that I must pay for the lettuce and tomato. I reiterated that I had already paid and never received it. Then, the manager, who was immediately rude and disrespectful mind you, came over to tell me that I had to pay; I once again stated that I already had. She asked me what I meant, so I began to tell her that I came on a previous date when she interrupted me and asked for a receipt. I told her that I did not get one, and would have told her that I have honestly never gotten a receipt when coming through any McDonalds drive thru before, but I was interrupted again. She asked if I had called, and I began to tell her that I did four-five times with no answer, but I once again did not get to finish because she was already walking away saying “you have to pay.” The immediate disrespect and disregard for me was astonishing, especially considering that I am a very kind and easygoing person. Read moreWe moved to the neighbourhood a couple of months ago. I have not been a big McDonalds customer since high school really, not my go-to for burgers and fries for sure. But their coffee is on point, and the price is essentially unbeatable. With working from home, the Gerrard and Vic Park location has become my goto for morning Joe. An XL black is 24 ounces, like making a pot at home and costs $2 and usually lasts a couple of days. I always order on the mobile app, which essentially doubles the freebies - the buy 7, get the eighth free stickers are replicated electronically on the app which means you basically buy 7 get two free. And with the app you can get a free medium lattè as a reward even if the seven you bought were black coffees so I treat my wife to her lattè on the weekends after buying my coffees all week and still collecting the stickers for yet more free coffees. The effort and activity in this location are clearly focused on keeping a lean mean drive thru well-oiled, and front counter customers can be forgiven for feeling like a sideshow. Read moreMy son and I had finished playing golf and thought we would stop at McDonalds for some food on the way home. We stopped at the Gerrard and Victoria Park McDonald’s that is a few blocks from home.
After ordering $29.00 of food (2 meals) I asked them very politely if they could make sure that the food was hot as I did not like cold fries.
The young lad said so problem and after I paid he said through his microphone “the customer wants fresh food. Make sure it’s fresh”
After driving up to the window the girl then says I would have to wait in the waiting area for about 10 minutes for my fresh food.
After receiving the food I drove home. I have never had a worse meal from McDonalds.
The 1/4 hamburger was stone cold and the fries were the same.
Being a retired police officer I can see when people are lying. This crew obviously find it funny that when someone asks for warm food they purposely use a code between them. “The customer wants it Fresh”.
I am very disappointed with this kind of treatment for the money that people are being charged.
I would have driven back and demanded a refund but i was limited on time.
