Ritz Caribbean Foods — Restaurant in Toronto

I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering from Ritz Caribbean, and I must say, it was an absolute disappointment. I ordered their jerk chicken rice and peas meal, specifically requesting extra coleslaw to accompany my dish. However, not only did I not receive any coleslaw, but I also had to paid $25 for the privilege of being served a meal with out the coleslaw I paid extra for.

It is basic customer service to fulfill a customer's specific request, especially when they are willing to pay an additional fee. The fact that the coleslaw was missing from my order displays a blatant disregard for attention to detail and a lack of respect for the customer.

While the flavour of the jerk chicken was pretty good, it was simply not enough to compensate for the quantity of meat and the surplus of bones. A good taste can only go so far when the main ingredient is severely lacking.

Overall, if you're looking for a satisfying jerk chicken meal, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Ritz Caribbean's offering simply doesn't measure up in terms of quality, quantity, and overall value for money. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options that prioritize the satisfaction of their customers. Ritz Caribbean was a complete letdown. From the failure to deliver on a simple request to the pricing and subpar quality of the meal, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your hard-earned money and seek out a more authentic and customer-centric establishment for your Caribbean...

I went here with my partner because it was close to work. I so so badly regretted this. What a waste of stomach space!

Taste: I would give this a zero if there was this option. We got 2 meal combos to try a variety of items on the menu.

Ackee - no taste! mushy. Jerk chicken - the only okay item that tasted good. Stew beef - no taste, boiled meat. Lack of flavour, stiff, not tender. Rice and peas - nothing great. bland, little flavour if any. Curry goat - lack of flavour. lack of salt, not tasty.

Portion: no difference in comparison to other Caribbean restaurants (always seems on the smaller side, with high mark-up).

Price: Moderate - high. for 2 meals with 2 meats each and ackee on the side costed +40 dollars. We should have just eaten at an actual good quality restaurant. +40 dollars on fast-food in my opinion should be spot on good, with no regrets. This was a mistake that I hope not to make again.

Service: Good.

Overall opinion: would not go back to this restaurant nor any of this franchise restaurant. This restaurant blew up around the GTA, way too quickly, with in my opinion, just to say they serve a form of Caribbean food. Keep your money and go down the street to an actual smaller non-main stream restaurant like this and get the authentic good tasting Caribbean food. Very disappointed in quality of the taste of the food. My partner is a huge fan of Caribbean food and he couldn't even eat it. I felt bad to waste it but we ended up throwing out more than half the meal...

I personally enjoy food from lots of different cultures. That's part of the beauty of being a Canadian you can experience many different cultures and their food. 🇨🇦

This place does a good job with 🍗 fried chicken. I personally got three pieces for 6$. A lovely snack. Plus they have beef patties and many other tasty dishes.

This is located on the southwest side of the corner right next to Church's chicken and Burger King. However they have wonderful coleslaw and more.

🌎 So no matter where you have come from. Whether you're going to work or going home. Consider trying some lovely rice and dishes from this local restaurant.

I hope that the owner continues to do well. Please do not litter in the parking lot and try to drive safe. Be respectful to people no matter their culture. 💯🤷💞
