This restaurant's main food product is ramen without soup. It's very delicious. I'm now a fan of mazesoba. We came here on Sunday just as it opened at 5 pm. So, no wait times for us.

The restaurant is small on the inside. There's not that many tables. The washrooms are in the back. The interior is very cute and Japanese decorated. It's a whole vibe.

There's no physical menu. Instead, you have to scam a QR code on the table to access the online menu to order your food.

Outside the restaurant, there is a sign that is advertising their new Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Jelly drink.

My sister ordered the Megumi Mazesoba (~$25? - sorry, can't remember - it was a few dollars more than what I got) and the Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.20). I ordered the Unagi Mazesoba ($21) and the Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.20).

My sister told me that Megumi Mazesoba (choice: thin ramen noodles and spicy), was good. The only thing she didn't like was that the pork chasu was more fat than meat. The Megumi Mazesoba consists of pork chasu, minced pork, onsen egg, ajitama egg, green onions, shredded nori, corn, minced garlic, fish powder, and roasted sesame seeds.

My Unagi Mazesoba (choice: thin ramen noodles and no spice) was delicious. Other than realizing that there were bones in my unagi (eel) and having to carefully/slowly eat/pick them out... Pretty damn good. The Unagi Mazesoba consists of the unagi (eel), onsen egg, green onions, shredded nori, wonton bits, corn, minced garlic, fish powder, roasted sesame seeds.

Oh, and we got the chili peppers sauce thing on the side instead of in the bowls, cause I can't do spice. On the table, there are a container of wonton cracker bits, a bottle of vinegar(?), and shredded bonito flakes that you can add to your food.

Breaking the onsen egg and mixing all of the toppings and noodles (excluding my fish), made my mazesoba coated in a layer of utter deliciousness. Adding some shredded bonito flakes enhanced the flavor as well.

The Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea came with ice cubes and brown sugar jelly. The milk tea had a unique and different/distinct flavor from every other milk tea/bubble tea I've drank up until this point. The only problem I had was that the straw was too small. The jelly got stuck trying to get sucked in and the milk tea wouldn't go through the straw, since the jelly was in the way. So, it got slightly annoying. If the straw was bigger, it wouldn't be a problem.

Overall, the food and drink was good. Tasty. I've become a fan of this kind of ramen. I noticed this restaurant also has warabi mochi and not a lot of places in Toronto sells warabi mochi that isn't frozen or stale.

I love this place. Will definitely be coming back here to try the rest...

Megumi Mazesoba opened up in my neighbourhood two months ago, and I had been meaning to check it out sooner…boy, I wish I did!

I went with a friend of mine who had been raving about it, and the owner Paula - and the moment we walked in, I could understand why. The warmth and familiarity with which we were greeted INSTANTLY made us feel at home!

It was lunchtime on a Friday and I would say it was more than 50% occupied. We picked a table perpendicular from the long row of tables along the far wall. I would say that while we were there, it only got busier - both with dine-in patrons and people coming in to pick their takeaway orders up! All the more impressive that there were only TWO visible employees working - Paula (who worked the floor with her hospitality and also somehow managed to assist with the dish preparations) and another gentleman.

My friend and I both ordered the Megumi Mazesoba - hers with no spice, while I got the “Signature Spicy” which is a mid-tier spice level. Man - I can handle my spices and this was definitely a fragrant, pungent, sharp and delicious spiciness! They don’t mess around.

We both got our bowls with Udon noodles. They were PERFECTLY cooked - warm, supple, bouncy, and mixed together with the pork lard, ajitama egg, and all the other ingredients, it was a FLAVOUR BOMB in my mouth! Soooooo good.

DO NOT finish all the sauce at the bottom of the bowl - I made this mistake because it was just too yummy to resist, but you are supposed to save a bit of it to eat with rice at the end. Thankfully, my friend hadn’t hoovered her food down like I did so she spared some of her sauce for me and I got to enjoy those last few bites that are meant to be mixed with the rice.

I am still dreaming about this mazesoba…🤤🤤🤤

For dessert, Paula brought out little sample portions of the banana cigar dish, served with ice cream. It is like a banana spring roll. Very simple and delightful, and a nice, sweet finish to a meal filled with so much savouriness.

It is so great to finally have a GOOD Asian noodle restaurant option in this...

Today was my first time coming to Megumi Mazesoba, and make no mistake, it won’t be my last! From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by the ambiance of the establishment and how it was designed, then I was greeted humbly by Paula as I entered, and Steven from the kitchen then after. I ordered the house special and between the traditional thin noodles with meat and egg and other ingredients, along with the white rice that came with it after to scoop up the rest of the sauce, I have to say that I was incredibly satisfied with my meal. Broth-less Ramen in my modest opinion is really underrated, and this Ramen Establishment along St. Clair East is one I would recommend hold heartedly. Thank you for the wonderful experience, it was worth every dollar. UPDATE: Megumi Mazesoba was so good the last time I was there [the day before] that I had to come back again to order the same signature dish, (only this time with udon noodles). This style of noodle reminds me of the homemade style of pasta, my paternal grandmother used to make, which made the experience all the more worthwhile! Thanks again Paula and Audrey (from the kitchen) for great food, great service, and for once again, welcoming me back into the humbling and modest ambiance of your establishment!!! UPDATE: I returned once more recently when I heard that Megumi Mazesoba had gluten-free noodles, So I knew I had to give those a sample with one of their traditional bowls. Great flavour, very light, and what made me enjoy it more was the guilt free feeling of no gluten at all. Once again, this broth-less Ramen Establishment has impressed me with what they do best. It’s clear that this place specializes for all clientele. Here is hoping that they are here to stay in...

First-time for me to try brothless Japanese noodle, “Mazesoba” unlike Yakisoba or Tsukemen? Selected their pork chashu udon, comes with a free veggie korokke on new delivery app is a great choice. Fast and still warm, so satisfy and amazing taste. And you have choice to select 3 types of noodle ; ramen, udon & soba and 4 levels of spiciness; original, mild, medium and hot.
