The white young woman with a short 80’s looking hairstyle whose either a food runner or server was not very helpful. More specifically she was very useless. We tip 18% just for her to tell us “just go over there and grab the water yourself.” How about you do your job? Or just stay at home if you’re not going to do your work. The request was simple. “Can we get some water please?” Initially she pretended to get the water for us then disappeared. We finished the meal, asked for water, then the 80’s short hair white young lady said, “ just go over there and get it” (wish I got the name)
Thanks bro. What an entrepreneur- she was delegating task to her customers and her other co worker who actually did her job for her, whose also was pretty busy if not busier than her. I mean this young lady was eating chips or something while working. Eating is cool but if you have time to put snack in your mouth here and there and talk around with your co- workers. I believe you have time to grab water bottle for us and 2 cups for us. We tip you? Why? We did we even tip you for you to walk around looking good and pretending to do your job. I’m not saying fire her. What I’m saying is hiring a person like this is like firing 3 good guys. What are we not good enough for you? My girlfriend literally beg for the water and she was even polite about it. The respond was, “just go over there and get it.” What are you my girlfriend’s manager? Is this some sort of life’s hack trick server do now a day I never heard of? We live in a very innovative time I guess. At this point just put a laptop with chat gpt in the middle of the restaurant, it would 100 percent do a much better job than this server.
Food review: The burger I have to say is delicious. This is my second time here. The chicken liver recommended to me by the cashier was delicious but was underwhelming by the amount he hyped it up for me.
Listen if the service was great it would have been an easy 5 stars for me. The service from the male cashier was friendly, and praised the lord to the cool guy that gave my girlfriend our water and 2 cups. I really was impressed by the burger the first time I had it. I will be coming back for the brisket and the...
Read moreMiznon on Bay, unfortunately, falls short of delivering an authentic and satisfying culinary experience. What should have been an opportunity to savor genuine flavors and immerse oneself in a true taste adventure turns out to be a lackluster and disappointing endeavor.
From the moment you enter Miznon, it becomes evident that something is amiss. The promise of bold and authentic flavors gives way to an underwhelming presentation and a sense of inconsistency. The menu, while offering a range of options, fails to capture the essence of the dishes it aims to represent, leaving patrons craving the genuine tastes they had hoped for.
One of the telltale signs of authenticity is the mastery of cooking techniques and the use of quality ingredients. Unfortunately, Miznon's offerings often lack the depth of flavor and precision that mark truly authentic cuisine. The flavors may fall flat, and the textures might miss the mark, leaving diners questioning the authenticity of the experience.
Moreover, an integral part of authentic cuisine is the connection to cultural heritage and tradition. Miznon on Bay appears to miss the mark in this aspect as well. The ambiance and atmosphere may not fully transport diners to the regions that inspire the menu, contributing to a sense of detachment from the genuine culinary experience one might expect.
It's disheartening when a restaurant fails to live up to its promise of delivering real tastes and a genuine immersion into a particular culinary culture. While personal tastes can vary, the lack of authenticity and subpar execution can leave patrons feeling unsatisfied and longing for a more authentic and fulfilling experience.
In a world where culinary exploration is celebrated, it's important for establishments like Miznon on Bay to strive for the highest standards of authenticity, quality, and execution. The true joy of dining lies in experiencing the genuine flavors and cultural richness that a cuisine has to offer, and when those expectations are not met, it can be a disappointing and disillusioning experience for those seeking an authentic...
Read moreMy visit to Miznon located just north of Bloor on Avenue Road in Toronto was an absolute delight! Venturing in on a bustling Saturday afternoon around 12 PM, I was initially concerned about finding a spot in such a packed venue. However, my worries were quickly alleviated as the self-serve seating arrangement allowed us to secure a place effortlessly. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the buzz of happy diners and underscored by an energetic soundtrack that added to the vibrant ambiance.
The service at Miznon is nothing short of exceptional. Staff members were not only efficient but exuded warmth and friendliness, making us feel welcomed and valued. Our order consisted of two exquisite dishes: the maple steak, a weekend special, and the candied steak pita. Both were mouthwateringly delicious, but it was the maple steak that stole the show for me. Its unique blend of sweetness with a hint of mustard created a flavor profile that was both bold and beautifully balanced. The pita, served by a kind server directly to our table, was exceptionally soft, wrapping the juicy, moist steak in a perfect embrace.
Speaking of ambiance, Miznon has done an excellent job creating a welcoming environment where one can enjoy their meal amidst lively music and pleasant decor. It’s the kind of place that instantly lifts your spirits and enhances your dining experience.
I cannot recommend the maple steak enough – it was a standout dish that I find myself craving days after. The pita’s softness and the steak’s juiciness combined to make each bite unforgettable. Moreover, the pricing is very reasonable, with a pita priced around $20, providing great value for such high-quality fare.
Miznon is a culinary gem in Toronto that deserves every bit of praise. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make it a point to stop by, especially over the weekend to try their maple steak. It’s an experience that you won’t forget, and I, for one, am already looking forward to...
