Moonmilk Ice Cream and Cake Club — Restaurant in Toronto

Tried out a few things here with mixed results. We took the items to go. We bought pints of the guava cheesecake and chocolate fudge ice cream and slices of two different cakes. The person serving food and running the cash register was very helpful answering questions about the different pastries. Unfortunately the cakes were boring and low quality. I couldn’t believe they were from an independent bakery, it was the kind of cake you’d politely take a bite then throw away at a bday party. Frosting was too sweet with little flavour, cake itself wasn’t flavourful and was a light fluffy texture so was slightly dry. On the opposite side of the spectrum the ice creams were incredible!! The right balance of sweetness, great texture typical of premium ice creams, the flavours were layered and complex with perfect amount of mix-ins. We were in the area in search of cake. Did a quick google search and this place popped out with key words: Sponge & Cake.

Unfortunately as it turned out Tues is their production day and they only had a vanilla sprinkle sponge cake. However we spotted a blueberry cheese oat cake something and it looked good. The nice lady at the counter told us it was day old and so it was 50% off. There were only two left so we got both. Score!!

Cute little place Nothing to go out of your way for. Ice cream was ok. The mint fudge was way to overpowering with fresh mint flavour. Definitely not worth the money

$6 for the tiniest scoop is not the same as other near by places .

Eds gives you double the amount for the same price. And same with the chocolatetria.
