Meh, I liked the place that was here before this company took over, better. The prices have gone up A LOT, $9 for a sandwich and $6 for a weak latte. The sandwich was good but not $9 good. Don't think I'll be coming back, there's another cafe a few blocks east with better coffee and lower prices.
Response to owner - Sorry to trigger you by reviewing your cafe, I didn't realize your "small family business" with two locations in the city followed the same pricing scheme as the grocery stores as you say since we all know that they are profiting from what's known as "greedflation", not inflation especially since you would be getting your products from suppliers at cost, not the grocery store at the inflated prices.
Yes I did change it to two stars from three after I thought about it for a bit because I realized I paid $15 for a latte and sandwich that really wasn't that great all round. It has nothing to do with any other reviews which I couldn't see when I changed it. It is odd though that it looks like all these 5 star reviews appeared within an hour of my two star review a week after you opened because there were no reviews when I wrote mine. Its almost like you told people to post fake 5 star reviews, but you wouldn't do that because that would tarnish the name of the "small family business" crutch you keep leaning on.
Be well....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMorning Parade Coffee is one of those places that just feels rightāgood coffee, friendly people, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Whether you're at their Upper Beaches or Trinity Bellwoods spot, the vibe is the same: welcoming, unpretentious, and community-driven.
The coffee? Smooth, well-roasted, and brewed with care. No overcomplications, just a solid cup every time. Their baked goods? Fresh and actually worth getting (which isnāt always the case at cafĆ©s). Itās the kind of place where you can settle in with a book, chat with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a latte.
They clearly put effort into making the space feel like homeāno rush, no stress, just good coffee and good people. If youāre looking for a local cafĆ© that actually feels local, Morning Parade...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThought this would be a cozy place to get some work done ... I was wrong. Sure, they may have placed the tables in a way that makes it looks like a co-working space but oh god were the tables and chairs so close to one another that you had to apologize to the person sitting every time you moved. The clientele here is also SUPER ANNOYING and won't shut up. We ordered a dirty chai and flat white. DO NOT ORDER YOUR DRINKS FOR HERE because I don't think they take care of the shabby glass cups at all. Biggest mistake. I personally could not finish the dirty chai because the espresso was too overpowering and the almond milk used disintegrated leaving away clumps. The flat white, however, was fine. Overall, avoid (or maybe grab your coffee...
