Casablanca Lounge & Event Venue — Restaurant in Toronto

So I was trying booking tickets to see karan aujla and this falsify ad came up saying Karan aujla concert after party got excited and booked my tickets and after that I saw some hidden text stating only his song gonna be playing like why can't they say at front or where it clearly shows just songs why you guys have to copy the whole name of different concert so people get confuse and book the tickets and then ofcourse no refund i emailed the organizers of the party but looking at these reviews pretty sure not getting anything it was a trap . I will put 1 more review once I get reply from the organizers ( Dangerous people the way He replies to bad comments damn ) don't want to get on his bad side scared already hopefully he don't send his lawyers who are so free to sue everyone who's doing bad comments i will change my review if I get my refund which they said boss man check his email after 4 business days and 1 more thing people make fake profiles to review here coz you a scary person nobody want to watch there back for life just for reviewing the establishment I'm not saying this because of the comments but say this coz of your replies you gotta chill man just relax a bit customers pay you so if you can't be respectful to customers who's gonna come there you need their money thats why you there don't forget the bills you paying the money in your pocket come from these people I tried to be respectful and was giving honest review if you have problem with my fake email I will post this with my real e.mail so you get mad I will wait for the reply and remember relax chill a bit smoke little spliff and then reply and plz don't send the lawyers and don't come say Hi to me in person too which I know you can do ( Dangerous people ) and im not tough as you are but still your customer and if I dont see any bad reply and if you actually help me with my refund I can delete this review and believe all the people you were getting mad at are actually fake today 09 aug and I have tickets for 10 aug I will be back with more reviews depends on you if they gonna...

Went here for a Taylor Swift Dance Night. Now I've been to a lot of these at difference venues across the city and this by far was one of the worst experiences. They played 4 songs twice, there was no DJ just a phone connected to the aux playing off Spotify, they were playing the weirdest lyric videos on the projection screen (from songs about tragedies like childhood cancer... like what the heck way to bring the mood down and show they did zero research into the artist or songs to play), the drinks were insanely over priced ($12 for a shot?), and then one of the bartenders was refusing to give me and my friends water! He kept saying he couldn't give us water without us also buying drinks but we had been buying drinks earlier in the night! It's actually illegal for venues to deny patrons water as per the Toronto municipal alcohol guidelines (regardless of if they've bought alcoholic drinks or not). We explained this to the bartender but he continued to argue and refuse us until we asked to speak to a manager and only at that point did he finally give us the water. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the crowd was wonderful but that doesn't have anything to do with the venue.

I would caution anyone against using this place for similar events...

Went for Y2K night and was really excited, since I LOVE y2k music and fashion. It’s a small venue, which is fine, but there was way too many people which made it cramped and sweaty. My biggest issue is the platform near the washroom; people were tripping over it all night. My friends and I left early because we weren’t feeling it, it got boring quickly and the humidity made it hard to enjoy. The music progressively got worse throughout the night, so there wasn’t any incentive to stay. It’s Y2k night but they really didn’t play much y2k, and when they did, it was short mashups. I can forgive that, but due to the small space there wasn’t much else you could do. I don’t have an plans on coming back. EDIT: Upon reading the reviews, it’s clear someone else needs to be in charge of responding to reviews. Extremely immature and off putting responses from the owner.
