A remembrancers account of Mr. Yes Noodle Bar M.3 24 November 9th I entered the gates of Mr. Yes Noodle Bar with 5 of my fellow compatriots, ready to nourish our bodies in service to the Emperor.
This is truly noodles manifest. Our battle brother Chaplain Decimus recited the Litany of Noodles in praise of this meal. We started our meal with lamb skewers, which were charred with all the fury of our fellow battle brothers; for $2 gelts each they were quite tender and flavourful, reminiscent of our greatest defenders of Cadia. The planet broke before the meat, and the lamb still stands.
We replenished our morale with two pitchers of the dark beer ($16), before singing our praises to our Chapter Master, before sampling some of the local provisions.
Italian meat sauce sent me back to the fields of Veii, where Rome triumphed over the Etruscan league. Even Livy could not comprehend the depth of flavor in $7 worth of it, which was complimented well by the house made noodles, which provided a substantial and satisfying chew, just like the pyhrric victory over Calth, where our primarch shattered the spines of many traitors, despite being exposed to the cold vacuum of space.
We then sat for round of deep sea grilled cod which was on special for $24.50, a good portion for the 6 of us battle brothers.
A satisfying portion, the sourness sending one of my companions back to his childhood in Macragge.
Service was excellent, and no heresy or demonic incursions were detected. The Chapter Master will hear of this food.
The noodles protect.

Read moreAn amazing, easy, casual place to eat especially if you love noodles. Located near College and Spadina, Mr. Yes Noodle bar offers a varied and interesting menu. Noodles, rice dishes, and bbq skewers!
We opted for the noodle combo where you can pick 2 toppings. Featured is one meal with noodles, traditional fried sauce (in Chinese it was called jajeung mien) and traditional Beijing sauce; one meal had the Beijing sauce paired with tomato and egg; one was the beef brisket noodle soup.
Oh where do I begin?
The traditional fried sauce was salty, savory with fermented bean taste and paired so well with the fresh cut cucumber and noodles. It went easily with the Beijin sauce that was lighter, milder, but equally tasty. It reminded me of an oyster sauce base with bamboo shoots, wood ear and mushrooms. Note: if you order from this section, you can get noodle refills I think but the portions were so generous I couldn't eat it all and had to take some home. You also get a complimentary plum juice drink with this combo. The tomato egg is a classic dish, sweet and so easy to enjoy.
The beef brisket noodle soup is delicious but spicy so be forewarned! Hearty, savory, and clears your sinuses.
The noodles across all the dishes had an excellent mouth feel, hearty, chewy, and such a great texture.
Most importantly, staff were pleasant and polite. It was my first time anod I had no idea what to do. They were helpful and patient! Also, loved the open kitchen in the main part of the restaurant.

Read moreThis is a restaurant with good food and ambiance, which should have been a great dining experience. However, everything was ruined by a short-haired waitress wearing an apron. After we were seated, it took about two minutes before we were given water and menus. When we asked her for service, she seemed annoyed by our request and acted as if we were rushing her.
When we ordered at 10:30 PM, she reminded us that the last call was at 10:45 PM. However, we came specifically because the map indicated the restaurant closes at 1 AM, so her statement seemed unreasonable. To make matters worse, at 11 PM, another customer arrived, and a different waitress served them without any issues, proving that the short-haired waitress had lied to us. This left us with a very bad impression.
Additionally, the restaurant supposedly offers a 10% discount for cash payments. However, the short-haired waitress told us it was only 5%. When we paid, another waitress informed us the cash discount was indeed 10% and provided a corrected bill. This made us question whether the short-haired waitress intended to pocket the extra 5%.
We were extremely dissatisfied with the short-haired waitress's service. If it weren’t for her terrible attitude, we would have given this restaurant a positive review and recommended it to our friends.
Overall, the food here is worth trying, and the other staff members (except for the short-haired waitress in an apron) are very nice. If you visit, make sure she...
