For context, my mother and sister are who Stephanie (an associate at Bon Bon) considerers regular customers.

Back in the Fall, my mom gifted me a white gold Singapore chain anklet from Bon Bon Jewellery. It costed over $300 and I've only now seen that big stores (Peoples and Michael Hill) are selling it for around $250. In December, the chain broke in two places with the clasp on the smaller separated piece. At first when I brought it in, I forgot the small piece with the clasp and Stephanie told me it would cost $170 plus tax to solder and add a clasp. I had no knowledge of jewellery repair at the time so I agreed and paid. I later found the missing piece in my room and brought it back in expecting a reduced price (instead of a solder and a clasp, it would just be two solders). She told me that this new repair would actually be more expensive, but for me, I wouldn't have to worry about it. Feeling off about the situation, I went over to Peoples and Michael Hill in the mall, where they told me it would normally cost $40 and nothing more than $100. I called Stephanie and told her that I was feeling off about the price. She told me that she wants me to feel comfortable, especially since she considers my family as regular clients. She spoke with the owner and got it down to $100. I then asked for my $70 back and she said it'd have to be store credit. She asked if this new situation was better and I obviously said "no," since other big stores quoted $40 for the repair and this anklet had no warranty. She then told me that jewellery stores don't normally have warranties, which was a bold lie considering I had been at Michael Hill to get a $50 warranty on another piece of jewellery a couple days prior. She also mentioned that it was so expensive because it is a "Singapore chain." Another lie. No, I was not and still am not comfortable with paying the repair that costed half the price of my anklet in the first place.

When the repair was done, I came in for my anklet. She told me that I need to be more careful with it because of the repair. I didn't pay to get an anklet that is more fragile. I paid for an anklet the way I bought it in the first place. I got my $70 store credit which ended up being $57 because she didn't mention the tax on the $100 that she asked the owner about. I wanted to spend it then and there to be completely done with this store. As I kept repeating to her, I only wanted to spend the amount on my store credit, she kept steering me towards more expensive pieces. In the end, I did buy a "cheaper" piece and had to pay the $43 difference.

A couple weeks later, I heard my anklet fall on the floor. Broken, again. This time, I went to a kiosk inside Fairview Mall where they fixed it in a week for $30 plus tax. Enough said.

Stephanie asked me to write a review so here it is. From this experience, I have learned to do your research first. A nice associate doesn't always have your best interest at heart. She lost three of her regulars from this situation, which is unfortunate because she seems like a nice woman. However, she knows how to lie and take advantage of clients who don't know better. Lesson learned. Don't waste your money on overpriced jewellery, shop around first, and ask...

Just before the lockdown, I went to STC and couldn’t help but notice this new jewellery shop on the second floor. It has a very chic and elegant atmosphere to it. I was looking to get a little something for myself, but I wasn’t expecting on finding anything that day. I went to all of the jewellery shops at STC, and all of their products were mediocre and there’s really nothing special about it that jumped out at me. However, when I went in to this store, I was surprised to see the variety of products that they have. This is not your typical jewellery store that you would normally find. They carry VERY unique items that you would not find anywhere else. I was immediately greeted by Bonnie, and let me tell you, she is the nicest and friendliest lady that does not try to sell you (like the typical jewellers), but actually wants you to find something that speaks to you. She is extremely knowledgeable and taught me a lot about diamonds and gold in general. She showed me one of their newest collections of pendants, and right away, I fell in love with this 10k white gold diamond heart pendant. I knew right away that this was definitely my style (it’s like she read my mind). We matched it with a beautiful solid box chain that made the pendant even more beautiful than it already was. To complete the set, I also purchased another pair of beautiful studs that I can wear as an everyday staple piece.

I am so glad that I came here right before the lockdown because I also ordered a 14k gold ring for my boyfriend’s Christmas present. Bonnie was so attentive and responded very fast to all of my text messages or any questions that I had. She also gave me updates on the piece that I ordered. On top of that, she personally delivered the ring to my home (all the way in Missisauga) and wrapped it super nice with very festive wrapping (That my boyfriend didn’t even wanna open because it was too nice). It came in a beautiful LED box, and my boyfriend ABSOLUTELY loved it. He’s so in love with it that he even wears it to sleep. I’m so happy that I got the chance to visit this store and get all of my shopping done here. This will definitely be my go to jeweller. Bonnie and her team are amazing, and there are no words to describe how great they are in taking care of their clients. Service is #1 here, and they have so many products to choose from (literally can spend the whole day here and not even realize). I just recently found out that they also repair watches and jewellery, so in the future, I will bring all of my goodies to get it fixed here. I absolutely LOVE this place and I will definitely be back once STC opens back up again!!! I definitely recommend anyone looking to purchase good quality products to go here!

I was recommended to Bon Bon Jewellery through a friend and was extremely pleased with the service and quality received. I had the pleasure of working with Bonnie to customize my engagement ring and the craftsmanship was immaculate. The ring turned out exactly how I wanted and I couldn’t be happier with it. Bonnie was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and gave valuable insight. Unlikely other jewelers, I did not feel forced or pressured to purchase. I was so pleased with Bon Bon Jewellery that I went back to purchase Christmas gifts before the whole lockdown happened. They have a huge selection of jewellery and watches which made it super easy for me to get all of my holiday shopping done. Purchased a beautiful pair of earrings and bangle for my fiancé and she absolutely loved it!

While I was waiting for everything to be packed up, I also gave them my watch to get my batteries replaced. Within 10 minutes, my watch was ready for pick up. I was super impressed with how fast they were able to do the repair. True professional! I will definitely be back for future jewellery purchases and this will forever be my spot for any jewellery and watch repairs. Would 110% highly recommend Bon Bon Jewellery for anyone looking to purchase beautiful and unique products. Thanks Bon Bon Jewellery for such a...
