DON'T go to this Yonge & Dundas location. Their servings here are stingy and they are not very good with handling the busy-ness that comes with that area. This is my 2nd time getting food from them and being annoyed. We paid $27 for delivery of lamb chops. ($27 before delivery fees). According to their description it should have been, "Four grilled lamb chops, seasoned with authentic spices, served on a bed of basmati rice, with our world-famous hummus, grilled tomato, and onion"
And the attached picture is the sad thing we got. They didn't say they didn't have rice, just assumed the person eating would be okay with fries. And where are the "grilled tomato and onion"? Since I ordered through Uber, Uber provided some compensation.
Also, I attached the stingy portion of their tabliyeh saj chicken shawarma. Compared to the other locations, this is miniscule.
The other time I went there in person, before the pandemic, I had ordered for pick up through ritual. I had to wait an extra 20-30 minutes after my pickup time which is annoying but would not have been as annoying as it was if they had just been honest up front. What really irritated me was that each time I asked where my order was, they would say oh we're getting our chef to make it now. It was obvious pretty quickly that this was not what was happening. Meanwhile, in the end the sorry excuse was that they had gotten a big delivery order of about 10-20 meals and had been fulfilling it. As a customer, I do not care. They could have told me that from the start so I at least know the actual waiting time and can do other things with my time. Also, they really couldn't make my one order in the midst of the big order? I had only ordered a shawarma combo for 1 person. I was hungry enough by then I didn't think to ask for compensation. And really I should just have gone somewhere else and tried to get a refund from ritual.
I gave them 2 stars because the taste is actually consistent with the other locations which means it's delicious. But go to a different location. DON'T go to the one at...
Read moreOkay so this was the second time I went to this place in downtown Toronto because my first experience was good. Hoping to enjoy some really nice middle eastern food I walked in with a friend at around 7pm in the evening. The place was quite busy and so we went inside to ask for a table. This tall lady across the counter said she had only one table which was located right at the entrance door. We didn't want that table because last time we went, we had taken the same table and it wasn't peaceful since everytime a customer or a Uber guy walk in, a cold gush of air flows in. So we asked her if we could get a table inside or upstairs where there is additional seating. She said it will be a 15 minute wait for which we immediately said that that was okay with us. She wrote down my name on a random piece of paper which did not look like a reservation book in any way. We told her that we will be waiting outside the restaurant on the sidewalk and be back within 15 mins. On this she so rudely said that you will have to wait here itself although there was no place to stand since the restaurant was full and the door opened 10 times in a minute. Her attitude and behavior overall was so rude with us that we decided to just move on and go to a different place all together. The least you can do is be polite even if you want to deny a request. Anyway thanks to this we ended up eating at another lovely restaurant where the hospitality of staff was beyond compassion to this lady. Although I love the food here, Paramount you lost me as a customer permanently because of the dismay attitude reflected by...

I've had the pleasure of dining at Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen on numerous occasions, & each visit has left me with a positive impression of this fantastic restaurant.
From the moment you walk in, the staff at Paramount are consistently kind & friendly. The bustling atmosphere is a testament to the deliciousness of their menu—I've never been in the restaurant when it wasn't filled with patrons enjoying their meals.
My personal favourites on the menu are the Lentil soup & the Yalla Special (French fries topped with chicken shawarma, garlic, & tahini sauce). The flavours are outstanding, & the combination of textures makes each bite a delight. While I, unfortunately, cannot indulge in their desserts, my partner has attested to their popularity & deliciousness.
Due to its popularity, the service at Paramount can be slightly hindered at times, particularly with follow-up interactions once patrons have been served their food. However, the overall experience, from the friendly staff to the delectable dishes, more than makes up for any minor delays.
In conclusion, I would 10/10 recommend Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen to anyone in the Yonge & Dundas Core. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or simply looking for a delightful dining experience, Paramount is a must-try. The welcoming ambiance, friendly staff, & mouthwatering menu make it a standout...
