NEVER DO DELIVERY. EVERY SINGLE TIME WE ORDER TAKE OUT THEY KEEP MESSING UP OUR ORDERS.

5 times we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt.. praying for a good & correct order for once.

after 2 times, i finally called to complain that this seems to be a recurring situation which is disappointing. the night manager was nice enough to tell us he will make sure our next order will be correct, and gave complimentary soup but unfortunately it still came out wrong. we still gave the benefit of the doubt and hoped ONCE AGAIN that maybe they will get our orders correct, and still after 5 times they never fail to make a mistake as per usual.

not organized. they don’t read the modifications. we ask for sauce on the side, we get zero. if we ask for 2 wraps for 2 different certain wraps, we get 3 and 1. we ask for lightly dipped in fat, they drench it causing the whole wrap and even bag to be leaking. they give the wrong meat. or one time i’ve asked for sauce on the side for my bowl, and the amount of sauce that was IN the bowl (not in the side) was not appealing. IT WAS SO MUCH i felt gross. perhaps they should use a squeeze bottle to drizzle instead of a scooper cause gah-damn.. there’s always something.

at some point uber might flag us for constantly complaining for a refund when it’s not even our fault.

PLEASE ORGANIZE YOUR CHITS PROPERLY AND PLEASE READ YOUR MODIFICATIONS. I suggest to hire an expeditor or assign someone to expedite and even double check that what it says on the receipt/order matches what was made before sending it off.

or maybe turn off the take out apps if your staff is not equipped for the rush. respectfully. i’ve worked in a restaurant for 10+ years. whenever we are busy we would pause the apps so that we give some grace to our kitchen staff. anyways im not surprised with the reviews i’ve heard from people commenting of how trash the yonge and dundas location is.

it’s unfortunate because the food is pretty decent but would be much better if it was...

Avoid this place at all costs. I have never in my life left a 1 star review anywhere till now. This place is the worst restaurant in Toronto and it was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.

So I went in for the student deal that said $7:99 for a shawarma and drink. They told me the drink is no longer included which is not what their Ad said, this was weird but I still ordered the drink separately and a side of fries. Then they said it’s $8:49 for the Beef wrap and not $7.99. Again, their Ad said $7.99 for a shawarma and free drink. It’s 50 cents so I didn’t care I still ordered, I just found it funny that they were willing to lie in their marketing for an extra 50 cents.

But this is where I lost it, as I was about to pay the lady asked me rudely if this is for dine in and when I said yesx she said I’m not allowed to dine in. I immediately thought she meant I can’t get a dine platter. I asked her what she meant and she said the student meal was only for take out. I was honestly shocked and still nicely asked if I can eat my order here, and she said “NO”. I was really confused because; Your Ad did not say no dine-in The majority of the seats were empty There were literally Middle Eastern looking students sitting and eating their wraps in the store. The wrap wasn’t the only thing I ordered.

Nonetheless, I was still willing to order and nicely asked her again “so I can’t eat here?” And she just shook her head at me and said no. Lol. I cancelled my order and walked out of this disrespectful establishment that shows zero class to customers. I wouldn’t embarrass myself eating even free food at a place where I’m not welcome. I have more respect for myself than to give my money to a restaurant that does not even allow me to sit in their store. Wasted my time going to this place.

There are plenty of restaurants that will value your money & time and this store is the furthest...

I recently tried Al Forat, and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious fresh, hot, fast, and easily a 10/10 on taste. I’ll definitely say this place has some of the best shawarma I’ve had in Toronto.

That being said, the service really took away from the experience. When I ordered, I assumed it worked like other shawarma spots where you choose your toppings. But I wasn’t asked if I wanted things like onions, hot sauce, lettuce, etc. I only managed to ask about removing pickles after I ordered, and the staff told me “next time say it before.” I missed out on toppings I actually wanted, which was disappointing.

I also came in with my TMU student email (and my friend had her student ID), since the student discount was advertised heavily online. We both got the deal, which was nice, but it became uncomfortable after. We weren’t asked if we were dining in or taking out, so after politely asking for seats, we were directed to the bar area. Once we sat, a staff member came over and told us that because we got the student deal, we weren’t allowed to sit in the main dining area since the student price is $7.99 instead of $12.99. Honestly, that comment felt unnecessary and kind of humiliating. A discount shouldn’t mean you’re treated with less respect especially one that the restaurant itself promotes to students.

On top of that, I noticed other customers also had confusion about dine-in vs takeout, since staff never clarified during ordering. One man even got upset after being asked to leave his table for the same reason.

Overall: amazing food, but poor customer service. I’d love to go back for the shawarma because it was that good, but I really hope the staff can work on how they communicate and treat customers. A simple “dine in or take out?” and “what toppings would you like?” would make the experience so...

TLDR: Waited 40 minutes for a takeout meal that was alright. Would not go again, and would probably choose to go to Alpha’s just a few doors down instead for shawarma. Ordered 1 beef and lamb wrap on saj bread, 1 lamb tikka wrap on saj bread, and 1 Fattoush salad, all to go. Total cost $44.04. We ordered at 7:10pm and only received the food at 7:50pm, waiting a total of 40 minutes for the food. I asked the employee at the 20 and 30 minutes mark and were told to wait 10 minutes both times. Many orders went through ahead of ours, presumably for people who ordered the chicken shawarma based items. We made friends with another group who was there waiting for about 30 minutes. The music was very loud and there was nowhere to sit. I asked the employee if it typically takes so long, and was told it was because we ordered kebabs, which take at least 20 minutes. We were not told about this wait time when we ordered. I did gently ask if we could have a drink on the house, and the employee told us she wasn’t allowed to make that decision. I decided not to pursue further and go home. The food itself was okay. The salad was alright, but the container was only half full. The beef and lamb wrap was pretty good, juicy, good flavour. The lamb tikka was a bit chewy. It was admittedly hard to enjoy anything after waiting 40 minutes though, and it certainly was not worth the wait. For comparison, I had gone to Alpha’s the day prior. The food was at least as good, if not better. I had a beef wrap on saj which took about 15 minutes to go. I did consider ordering lamb there, but was told it would take at least 20 minutes (the communication was certainly better), so I decided not to.

I was at this store yesterday in the evening and ordered my food at 7:15pm June 1, 2025. Since their $5 deal was over, they weren't as busy. As much as it was a mess on the ground in front of their store and cops were there, I still ordered from them and ordered one Lamb Shawarma for lunch (June 2nd), when I had my lunch at 1:30pm today, I bit into something that felt like a peppercorn when i took it out of my mouth I noticed it was a bead from some ones bracelet. I went to the restaurant and spoke to the manager. The manager was so rude and insulting accusing me of a liar saying that it came from the ground. That i had the audacity to pick a bead from the floor and put it in my wrap just to get something out of it. How pathetic!! I took pictures which he asked me to see and when i showed him he called me a Liar and said its clean. I said its clean because I had to figure out what it was! He wouldn't do anything and kept on yelling at me, no apology, no nothing! He also told me to take my receipt and leave. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. They just want to sell their food, create a ruckus, and be rude to customers. Yesterday even one of their employees was drunk (who had his uniform shirt on) and couldn't stand up straight and his co-workers were trying to get him back into the restaurant but wasn't listening! Is the kind of business You want to be buying from??? Much better Shawarma's places then this one!

I ordered three chicken shawarma wraps, as indicated on the attached receipt. Upon returning home and taking a bite, I realized the wrap was beef instead of chicken. I checked the remaining two wraps and found that they were also beef. I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone did not acknowledge the error or offer an apology. Instead, she responded with, “So what?” After placing me on hold, she told me to come by the next day. I visited the restaurant after work. I explained the issue to the staff member at the counter, showed her the receipt, and brought the two remaining wraps with me. (I had discarded the third one after taking a bite.) She asked me to take a seat and wait. During this time, another staff member—who claimed to have spoken to the owner—approached me in an unprofessional and confrontational manner, asking, “Why didn’t you bring the third wrap?” I explained that it had been thrown away. In the end, I chose to leave the restaurant, handing over the remaining two wraps and declining any further interaction due to their dismissive and disrespectful behavior. Earning money through dishonest practices is unsustainable. I won’t be returning, as respect and integrity matter above all.
