Four days ago: I ordered a large il Giardino pizza for pickup. When I came back to pick it up, they had chosen to make it with tomato sauce instead of white sauce since they ran out. They informed me only after the pizza was made and I explained I cannot eat tomato sauce due to sensitivity so they made a new one with oil. I kept the original for my gf. Issue handled well but still a hick-up is a hick-up due to lack of initial communication. An indicator of disorganization.
Today: Came back as a happy customer and ordered same thing in jumbo size for pickup. Came home and sat down with my family only to find a bitter burnt bottom pizza. I drove all the way back and politely asked the manager for a new pizza while happy to wait patiently.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
The cook comes over with an attitude, arguing that it is not burnt.
I explained it is burnt and bitter compared to the pizza I recently purchased and that I drove all the way here for an exchange because I can definitely tell.
Rashan took it as a direct personal attack of critiscm and acted on prideful self preservation to argue with the customer.
Rashan is not a manager, and should not be in a position to be confrontational with loyal customers who are buying two signature pizzas a week.
I demanded for a refund as the back and forth dialogue became so unpleasant that I decided I do not wish for Rashan to prepare my family's meal. He was rude and had negative vibes. The pizza would be physically and spiritually tainted.
I left and immediately called corporate. Got a $5 credit, drove to a different location and waited 20min. Then I finally drove home and after about an hour and 15min. My family finally ate.
Thanks for Pizza Nova @ 1881 Steeles for the amazing service (not). Please train your employees how to speak to customers and who has the authority to do so.

I had also ordered a cheese garlic bread on the side and this was absolutely foul and a complete waste of money! I took one bite And spit it out and threw the rest of the loaf in the garbage because it Was cold, Stale And honestly, wasn’t even garlic bread. It was a piece of stale bread with a thick slab of slimy butter mixed with garlic powder or flavouring. Disgusted by this And it is unfortunate that I went out of my way and paid extra money for a side when I would’ve been fine with the pizza on its own because it was atleast edible.
In addition to just how awful the actual flavour of it was and how stale the bread was, I don’t even think it was actually cook cooked because the butter was cold, not melted at all, and there was a giant piece of parchment paper between the two slices that we had received that we had to peel off before taking a bite.
The pizza for what it’s worth wasn’t the worst I’ve had, But at the same time, I can also get pizza that actually tastes way better from Little Caesars, which is way cheaper and that is saying something. I would not recommend going...

Future more when I said I wouldn't the guy called the police and threatened to put me in jail ? What kinda Mickey mouse company is this ? I have a video and I recorded the whole Incident? If pizza nova actually cares about the customers and how they are treated they would ask me for the video but so far all I got over the phone when I called the call centre to complain was we talk to the employee and tell them to start talking Nicely ? That was the way pizza nova handles business ? Will not be going to this location untill I hear that employee was dealt with accordingly ? Shame on...
