Disappointing Experience with Rotten Chicken and Poor Customer Service
I recently had a very unpleasant experience with the chicken I ordered from this location. Upon opening the box, I noticed a strong, rotten smell coming from the chicken. Concerned about the quality and safety, I returned it to the front staff. The employee smelled it and agreed it was bad, offering to change only the chicken.
However, when I requested that the entire meal be replaced, since the chicken was mixed with the fries and onion rings, the employee refused. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable keeping the meal in its current state, but he insisted I simply remove the rotten chicken and eat the rest. I stood firm, stating that I expected the entire meal to be replaced. After some back-and-forth, he reluctantly agreed to replace just the chicken.
I want to emphasize that serving rotten chicken is a serious concern, not just for the quality of the meal but for potential food poisoning. I was worried about health risks, and I feel this situation could have been handled with more care and urgency.
While I appreciate the eventual replacement of the chicken, I believe this situation could have been resolved much more efficiently with better customer service. Your staff should be properly trained to handle such issues with professionalism and empathy, especially when food safety is involved. Additionally, I recommend avoiding reheating or recooking your chicken to prevent such situations from happening.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve both the quality of your food and the professionalism of your...
Read moreI recently visited the Popeye's at 660 Dundas St. East, and I just have to take a moment to congratulate the staff on an all-around amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, the team was prompt, professional, and incredibly kind. 🙌 They made sure everything went smoothly, even though the place was bustling with customers.
Now, onto the food—delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it! I ordered the 3-piece chicken tenders meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, and it was absolutely fantastic. The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy, and the gravy added just the right touch of savory goodness. I also tried their signature coleslaw, which was fresh and tangy—an excellent side to balance the meal. And of course, their sweet tea was the perfect drink to top it all off!
The staff really went above and beyond, serving everyone quickly without missing a beat. Despite the rush, they maintained a cheerful, professional attitude, which made the whole experience even better. I was super impressed by their efficiency and how they handled the crowd.

Read moreWas excited for Popeyes grand opening yesterday despite the delay. Lined up hoping to take advantage of the 50% off promotion the owner offered our building but the cashier refused to honour it. Tried to order a 9 piece chicken family meal that was advertised on their digital bill board and they said they didn’t have a button for it so the only option was for me to order the 10 piece deal that cost 20% more. I was also unable to order online for pickup to get any of the other offers you see on their website.
Overall, was pretty disappointed with the food, especially having spent $80 at a fast food joint. Onion rings and fries were soggy, chicken was meh, chicken sandwich was meh, apple pie was meh. Combined with the rowdy crowd it draws (people leaving food and garbage all over the tables, scooters being left everywhere) contributing to a chaotic atmosphere, you’re better off going to Wendy’s (better value), KFC (fries, sides and chicken are better at least than this location) or McDonald’s (better value, fries, pies) for tastier/cheaper options, in my opinion.
Unlikely to return,...
