Queensway Fish And Chips — Restaurant in Toronto

An institution on Queensway for over 45 years, where my dad used to pick dinner from here! This is a classic, no frills fish and chips diner. The fish was fresh and had a nice ratio of batter to fish. Fries were of the fairly run of the mill, thick cut pub variety. Portion to price ratio, I would have liked to see a bigger piece of fish (ordered the halibut) for $18 (1 piece of halibut, fries and a drink).

Atmosphere wise, it appears the decor was maintained since the late 70s (maybe a refurbishment to keep the look and feel since then?). It's no date place, yet there is still table service.

If half stars were possible, I would give this a solid 3.5 star rating for the food. Better fish and chips can be found elsewhere, yet this will still satisfy...

This place sucks went here last week. I usually go 2 the grille down the street and usually order fish and chips there but decided 2 try this place the older lady told me there fish was better then the grille ok lets see and she also complained about the grilles portions being 2 big which is true and youll see why later. So I order and got a minuscule portion 4 $15 that was not better then the grille and still left a $1 tip cause Im not that mean was pissed bout that expensive lunch 4 2 days. The lady is amiable but jeez man 4 $15 hook it up if your in the area and want fish and chips go 2 the grille way better sizable portion only 4 same price only grievance youll have is 2 much food which is not much of...
