I walked in today without even knowing the name of this café because I had just finished work and was starving. Upon entering I was greeted by a very friendly server who explained what foods they have and showed me the hot food bar. I ordered the chicken parm meal which was part of the hot bar and honestly it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in Toronto. It was fresh, delicious, and came with tasty sides. The price was very reasonable given the portion, quality, and freshness of the food as well as the atmosphere and service. Really nice and caring staff, great coffee, and tasty egg sandwiches. It’s a cozy place without the pressures of pretension that some other coffee places have, and the back patio is quaint in the best of ways.

That said, I’ve reduced my review over time because every time I visit to eat and get a bit of work done (1-1.5 hours at most, and never when it’s busy), I’m told by the staff that I should keep ordering things or the owner might get frustrated. It’s a shame.
