Chaveta Coffee is the kind of coffee shop which defines itself not only through its products and service, but by its character as well. One wouldn't expect to find a cozy corner as such easily in this city, yet it stands welcoming and humble on a beautiful corner. On what would seem is a sleepier stretch of Bathurst St, Chaveta welcomes you with its sight and unique personality. The owners Julian and Michelle are a dedicated, polite and hardworking team to a fault. Their coffee is not only of excellent quality, but also offers a refreshing blend of Robusto dominant roasts as well as a bit of Arabica. The interior decor is reminiscent of Cuban accents, with charming posters of Latin culture and green plants scattered here and there. Their pastries are always fresh and delicious. Whether you're stepping in for a perfect espresso, a bag of their beans, or a latte with your milk of choice (lactose free options are available), you will definitely be in for a warm welcome and a real endearing treat. For a young business, they have truly gotten their fingers on the pulse of proper...

A complete full and well deserved 5 star review. This place is the perfect coffee shop you need to visit. This is a small cafe where you can either pickup and go or sit and enjoy a delicious coffee. I went there to « kill off time » while waiting for my daughter. Not being from the neighborhood, I asked the owner where I could park without getting a ticket and he gladly guided me where to go. I then came back and had a perfect Americano coffee. Sat at the bar table and just deconnected for a few hours. This place has a cozy and hipster atmosphere. I didn’t have the chance to taste the pastries but I will for sure if I go back in the area. This is a must-stop-destination if you’re around The Annex or Seaton Village (15 min drive from the CN Tower) near Downtown Toronto. This is a 2 thumbs...

This is my favorite coffee shop in Toronto. The owners and staff are amazing, friendly and knowledgeable.

Located just north of Bathurst station in the heart of the city Chavetta Coffee is a hidden gem

This intimate space offers no shortage of options when it comes to dietary needs. Lots of gluten free baked goodies and alternative dairy choices are always available. My go to is a hot matcha latte with oat milk and a shot of vanilla. Our kids devour the chocolate chip cookies! The coffee is excellent as well and take home beans are available for purchase.

Lots of spots to sit and scroll in the sunny front window or take a break from the day. Clean washroom available for customers. In warm weather outdoor seating options are...

Chaveta Coffee is an independent cafe with espresso based drinks, tea, muffins, cookies, scones, squares, and a clean, friendly atmosphere. Recently opened this September 2019 the cafe is still adding items to their selection of goods for sale. Payment by cash or card. Limited Seating inside - about a dozen seats. 1 Bench for seating outside. Dairy alternatives available. 1 washroom. Front entrance not yet accessable (2 steps) Baked Goods made off-site. Coffee blend is South American origin and fair trade. I look forward to checking back as they settle into the neighborhood and I will edit/add to this review.

I loooove Chaveta! Their brewed coffee is the best I've ever tasted in a coffee shop and I've worked in the coffee industry for close to a decade, so trust me on that one. They have really yummy pastries and a great assortment of danishes with different kinds of fruit, and the cheese scones are delicious. I once saw a man in the store that was being a bit disruptive and the owner gave him a free coffee which was really kind and nice. They're a pivotal part of of the community and I can't recommend them enough. Check it out!

Cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere. First time here as I am religiously trying to support the small businesses. I couldn't decide what I wanted, the server was patient. I ended up getting an iced coffee with milk, sugar and spiced brown sugar syrup. The server was friendly and answered my questions. It's a nice local spot for Meetup with friends or family.
