I was excited to try Rosie's as I had seen multiple people posting about it but was generally disappointed with my experience.
I'm unsure if this was a mistake but my fries were overly seasoned to the point of being nearly inedible. I do not believe I have ever had fries so heavily doused in salt. It feels as if the top of the salt shaker fell off while they mixing the fries I received.
I ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and found it to be just okay. Burger was fairly dry, not terrible by any means, but subpar for the price at least for me. There are multiple other burger locations in the city with a similar style where you can get a much more flavorful juicy smashed burger.
I also ordered Birthday Cake Pudding which I did enjoy. Extremely sweet but that didn't take away from my enjoyment.
Service was good. I do not expect employee's to go above and beyond so I was satisfied with my service.
I'm unsure if I simply had a one off poor experience. Generally reviews seem very positive for this business and I do hope I am an outlier. I wish the business all the best!
As a side note: Care when parking in the area. Parking enforcement patrols the area regularly and are very happy to give out tickets. Be sure to park either at a nearby business or in the designated paid parking area. I saw multiple cars ticketed while I returned to my own. Not an issue of the business of course, just wanted to spare someone a parking ticket...

The burger itself was good. Bun was soft, the burger had a bit of crisp, and was nicely salty. The sauce was also decent too. I overall enjoyed it.
The banana pudding was good, though it did have a bit of an artificial banana flavour, like you'd taste on medication, but not nearly as pronounced.
Overall the food was good, though I think overpriced. After tax and tip, the meal cane out to just over $24, which is pretty bad for just a regular burger, and half a pint of pudding.
I waited at least 20 minutes to receive my food, which surprised me as all they had to do was cook and assemble one burger. It was a bit busy after 6pm on a weekday, but still surprised by the timing considering how many staff they have.
One thing I need to point out if that on their payment machine, the tip percentages are calculated AFTER TAX. This is ultimately an ethically poor practice. I'm not mad, as I can appreciate they have a lot of young staff, and they seem nice too. However, some transparency would be ideal.
Overall I'd give the whole package a 3/5. If the food was a bit more affordable, and the payment system was sorted out ethically, I'd come back. The...
Read moreFirst and most likely last time here. I love supporting local so it's disappointing to write this.
I was excited to finally try Rosie's. The prices are insanely high. Smash burger was very thin, very over cooked and dry. Was almost cold and we ordered in store for in store. Fries are large and crispy but feel like McCain's. Onion rings are large as well but have no flavour. 2 singles a fry a ring and 2 pops was 45 dollars which is extremely expensive. Both of us has stomach problems afterwards and seeing reviews here seem to suggest that food handling is not good. No beard or hairnets except for a few.
The place is very very clean. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Limited seating, mostly metal stools which are very high up and uncomfortable. My wife is shorter and I had to help her on the stool. Parking is limited to a few spots on the street and maybe in back.
The buns were fresh and soft. Also the music we heard had some lyrics with the N word in it which I was surprised by.
Sorry gang but it's just not that good for what...
