2019: After an absence of three years I decide to try this cozy not so little restaurant and see if the Waitress from another planet is still employed. Two visits later, I have yet to come across this misery of the service industry and I honestly don't know if she was beamed back to her home world but glad to see things have moved on. Two separate meals show nothing but attentive Wait Staff, a clean restaurant and respectable food. The latter being a relative unknown for Church Street. Tonight, my friend and I opt for Martinis, Shiraz and after dinner Jameson Whiskey to compliment our meal. Our main courses include Calabria pasta (Italian sausage) and Veal Osso Bucco. Both are delicious and the trend continues into dessert with Carrot Cake and Tiramisu. Our Waiter is attentive, engaging and firmly on the side of the Restaurant and its customers when a fowl mouth vagrant walks in going table to table asking for money. Sorry but I did my bit in life for Queen and Country and am not about to support this type of behaviour. That said, it is dinner and a show with our Waiter standing firm and the uninvited quickly retreating whence he came. *** 2016: Deplorable service. We did enjoy the food but our waitress (a woman in her 40's?) was either from another planet, on drugs or lack thereof, insane or all of the above. My pet rock has better manners.

We went there for winterlicious on a sunday night with a party of 6 people. The service was a bit slow because there were only 2 waiters on that night but they did their best to attend to everyone. Mind you the restaurant was full. So kudos to the service there. Food portion was very generous. It was tasty but i was a bit dissapointed with some things. Pros: -The cook on the meats were on point. We had the rack of lamb and the steak and lobster. -Taste was good for everything we had. I especially like the sauce with the rack of lamb. Cons: -Out of 3 plate of mussels, 2 were slightly undercook. A lot of mussels (we counted at least 6 in one plate) were not opened ,which show that they were not well cook. -The steak we had were a bit fatty. There were a lot of fatty pieces here and there. - The lobster was underwhelming. Taste like frozen lobster that was overcooked and it was also blend in taste. - We had 2 lava cake and both of them were overcook. The middle was not oozing chocolate :( which is the whole point of a lava cake. The price $33 was reasonable for the variety of selection you get to choose from the menu, Overall, I would still recommend this place, for the taste is good and the portion are huge even if some things were lacking.

I came here for Winterlicous in a Wednesday night. The place was busy, and I read recent reviews. I have to say I was underwhelmed by my meal. I ordered the mussels for the first course, it was served warm and was undercooked. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. I ordered the steak and lobster for the main course. Steak was ok, maybe 6.5 out of 10, but the lobster was completely dry, no butter sauce over it, just a dry piece of lobster tail. I was quite disappointed. The dessert was good however, I got the chocolate cheesecake. That was my order, my friend got the the lamb shank and they enjoyed their meal. And someone else got the chicken which they said was good, I did try a bite and it was definitely better than my order. Portions sizes were good, but overall food was ok. Service wasn’t great but wasn’t super terrible either, they were quite busy, but that’s no excuse for slow service, but more managements issue for not staffing properly. It’s 3.5 stars but I can’t give a half and it’s a round down type of situation.

Went into this restaurant with my friends for summerlicious. We sat on the high rise part of the restaurant. Our server (Joe - long hair, skinny, white male) came over, does not look very pleasant and did not give a good vibe (seems rude first impression). Gave us our drink. Restaurant was half empty. We gave him a wave to indicate we're ready to order whenever he's ready. He walked over and said if he's on the other side of the restaurant, we cannot just wave at him and expect him to come over. Stating that he's very busy. I said "I'm sorry. we didn't mean to rush you, just to let you know we are ready to order." Ok took our order. His face looked pissed. At the same time, there's another table sat next to us with a different server. Lucky them. Had a very nice server. Anyways. We waited for a bit, got our starter. Finished, waited 45 mins and still no main course. Our Server was ignoring us, can't get his attention, I kindly asked the server serving the table next to us to call our server and explained that we've been waiting for our food for almost an hour. After our server (Joe) got the message, he looks more pissed, came over to us. I simply asked him "I know you guys can get busy, but does it usually take an hour between started and main?" He rolls his eyes and said he is not responsible for that and stated he does not know what's going on in the kitchen and that's not his business. I mean this guy does not have simple manner to apologize for the wait time. Could have just said he will check for us to see what's going on in the kitchen. Rather than blaming the kitchen guys and said it's not his fault. This server's comment also reflected badly on the restaurant. He goes away and grab our food. Possibly sitting on the counter for a while. Also at this time the restaurant was full. Almost everyone else is eating. The table next to us already eating dessert and we're still waiting for our main we sat down around the same time. This is ridiculous. After our main. My friend and I went to the bathroom. Came back found dessert already dropped off on the table. So he doesn't have to talk to us again. From this point the server did not say any word to us. It's like someone giving u the silent treatment. And lastly for my drink. He got me the wrong drink and I was too mad to deal with another issue with this guy. I know it's not gonna go anywhere. When we ask him to get the bill, roll his eyes on us again and did not even talk to us again, just toss us the bill and take the money and left. I was very disappointed at this experience. The food was good. But we did not enjoy it at all. We were very frustrated and angry. I will not want to experience...

I went for Summerlicious with a friend. We were seated quickly which was great and we noticed the restaurant was not super busy so we expected service would be quick. Then our waiter came to our table and from that moment my friend and I looked at each other and knew this guy was not giving off a good vibe. When I typically order off a Summerlicious menu, I order my app, main and dessert all at once. Well our server only gave us enough time to order our first two courses and quickly grabbed the menus from us and walked off. We both went with the intention to order drinks and instantly had the drink menu taken away. It set off a bad start to our whole experience. We later had to ask for him to bring back the drink menu and the dessert menu and saw him roll his eyes at our request. When the food came, it was okay - nothing special in my opinion. I had the Cesar salad, the rainbow trout and my friend and I shared the lava cake and cluster. I work in the area and will definitely not be recommending this restaurant to any of my colleagues due to the poor customer service. It's too bad that this restaurant is missing out on potential customers due to one crappy server's negative attitude. He was a jerk. Since we had to rush to get back to work, I ended up giving him a tip but really wish I hadn't. Won't be...
