A less than optimal experience at best! Eggs benny was made with the tiniest eggs I’ve ever seen! Like what type of eggs were they???Can’t ask for them soft or medium he said “they come as they are” LOL it wasn’t appetizing at all. The French toast was dry af—no butter. Cheap. Their breakfast/brunch was served on a small side plate with 5-6 small diced potatoes maybe a quarter of a whole potato if that. Low-quality food, wee portions. This was a miniature breakfast, I wish I had taken a pic! I didn’t take a pic because it wasn’t picture worthy. Service was hurting ..our side of bacon arrived 30 minutes after we ate our breakfast. To be fair—there was an event taking place a bday party of 10-15 and 7-8 of their booths were also occupied—ONE server! The bartender kept disappearing in the back and the owner was busing tables trying to “help” instead of staffing a second server. It was a sight! The entertainment was decent as for the rest of it—sad. Bill was cheap $75ish and when I say cheap I mean you get what you pay for. Disappointing overall. There’s better service and food to be had at a greasy spoon. Weird vibes. Maybe more of a university student one pint...
Read moreI could never imagine how a business owner could have such huge disregard and disrespect for other's in the neighborhood, especially when there are hospital patients so close by.
There seems to be 0 consideration for the noise level they create every weekend for 6+ hours straight in a residential neighborhood, along with the Ronald McDonald House next to them where sick children, and also the patients at the Princess Margaret Hospital that are also right across from them. As if it is not bad enough you can still hear them living in the nearest condo as if they're partying beneath you.
It is understandable if this was an occasional party/celebration, but it seems to be a weekly event (2 days & 6+ hours of blasting music and yelling at a time) that gets worse and worse.
Just as you want to have a good time with your crowd and make money with your events, the larger majority living in the neighborhood would also like to enjoy their summers without having to hear thudding bass and djs yelling louder and louder by the week.
Huge disturbance and would definitely not be recommending this place to others from the inconsideration they...
Read moreWhen I first came here I was fully expecting another university bar. My expectations ere stupid.
The highlight for me so far has been the food. The fries are unreal. The pizza is the perfect amount of food while you're drinking. The soups have no right to be this good.
If you're in the area and hungry you should stop here instead of the surrounding university food places.
The cocktails are actually pretty good too. Great bitters collection, their clear liquor selection is unreal.
If you're looking for a cheap beer, a good date spot, or a great food spot in the area I can't recommend this enough.
I hope this becomes the trend of the area.its been far too lokg since something good came about here.
Not knocking the other places here, don't get me wrong.
This spot is just a step above.
If you've read my reviews I'm generally a negative person. For this spot, I'm genuinely pleasantly surprised.
Very rarely do I eat something somewhere and come back more than once to try other things on the menu. Im coming back to try their sandwiches next..
$6 pints daily too like...
