Mr. Spring & Mrs. Fresh — Restaurant in Toronto

I came with my family. There was only one waitress working and one other table in the restaurant already eating. It took them over 10 minutes just to provide us with a pen and paper to order, that’s normally left on the table initially. After another 5-10 minutes of waiting for our order to be taken, we had gotten up and given them our order directly to the person at the counter. No one had checked in on us and during the entirety of our meal, no one offered us water to drink, but we saw them serve it to other tables after us while taking their orders.

We ordered 2 large bowls to share and when they provided the smaller bowls and spoons, all of them were dirty. Also, the spoons were not provided at the tables, I’m surprised we had to ask for them at a pho restaurant. We were hungry and at this point, impatient, so we had eaten with the dirty utensils. While we were eating, a family of 4 had finished and left their bowls and utensils on the table beside us. For the entirety of our meal (20+ min), the table was not cleaned and more people were coming in. So it was unpleasant to eat around and clearly the waitress had no time to clean the tables, as more people to come in and tending to them.

When the food arrived, the noodles were not fully cooked as they were still stuck together. I had to let it sit longer for it to cook and separate. The prices were reasonable and the portions were big. The broth was also tasty, but in a large bowl of beef meatballs pho, they only served us 6~ meatballs in the entire bowl.

Lastly, on our way out we tried to take a large container to go and they underestimated how much we had left, giving us a small container so we had to wait another bit for another container to arrive.

The waitress was nice, but service was poor. They need to hire more staff and improve the cleanliness of their bowls...

I went with a friend to get some dinner. The staff ( 2 young females) had us waiting for about 30mins before taking our order. We tried to get their attention by eye contact, which didn't work because they didn't even look our way. I could understand if they were busy, but there were only 4 other tables being served. We ended up having to wave them over after several attempts. We noticed the ppl who came after us got their meals before us. Anyways. We filled out the menu sheet. It says on the sheet to fill it out properly to avoid errors on your food order. We filled it out, and put in bracket we want "fried rice". They proceeded to bring us plain rice. When asked about the discrepancy, the waitress didn't seem remorseful or like she cared. She more or less tried to make it seem it was our fault until we asked for the sheet and there it was 'plain as rice' written on the order sheet. Basically, she didn't read the sheet. She didn't ask us if we wanted fried rice( as an option), she only said the meal doesn't come with fried rice. We didn't argue. We just ate the plain rice. To top it off, we had to wait again for them to cash us out. My friend and I paid separately. Why did she add 2 drinks to my bill?? Like, what?? You seen we both ordered 2 drinks and must of seen us drink it. Why would you put both drinks on one bill?? I want to call them incompetent, but I know they can do better. To be honest, I will not go back for the simple reason, I wasn't treated properly and low-key disrespected. 2024, restaurants aren't getting second chances. It's already too expensive and I can't afford to throw my money away. Good...

During my recent visit to Spring 'N Fresh Roll, I had an overall decent experience. The food was satisfactory, and the server, although slow, was friendly.

As noted in previous reviews, the restaurant has only one server, which can make it challenging for them to serve many people at once. While this is understandable, it did result in a slower service than I would have preferred. However, the server was friendly and made an effort to ensure that we had a pleasant dining experience. They were patient with us as we took our time deciding what to order and checked on us frequently to ensure that we had everything we needed.

Regarding the food, I ordered the Spring 'N Fresh Roll, and it was well-prepared. The vegetables were fresh, and the roll was satisfying. While it was not exceptional, it was a decent option for a quick bite.

Overall, my experience at Spring 'N Fresh Roll was good. The server was friendly, although slow, and the food was satisfactory. If you are in the area and looking for a quick, casual dining experience, this restaurant could be worth checking out. Just be prepared for slower service due to the...
