We ordered a vegetarian bagel and got a non vegetarian bagel with ham or salmon, not sure. Almost had a bite, thankfully i could smell meat. When i went to return, no apologies, was told they would give a free sandwich as if they expect me to eat the meat sandwich as well. It is not a free sandwich which you are offering to make, but thats what i ordered anyway. Eventually decided to take a refund and not eat the 'FREE SANDWICH'. A customer's expectation would be to atleast hear an apology or sorry for the inconvenience, as it would have been against my religion and beliefs. The credit for this amazing experience goes to cashier Valeria. Even after mentioning about being sorry, she was adamant on 'NOT APOLOGIZING'. I bought 6 bagels to try out, since this place has good reviews. Although it is one of the best bagels I've had in a GTA, I don't know if I would return.
It's $4.50 for 6 bagels which is not bad. They appear to bake them fresh only in the mornings. I couldn't tell if they used a wood fire oven like they do in Montreal. They were slightly on the harder/dryer side even though they were supposedly baked a few hours before I bought them. Slightly sweet and not salty, similar to a Montreal bagel. But I felt they were...
