UPDATE JANUARY 24, 2024

I am writing to provide an update following my initial review dated January 14, 2024. My experience today at Uno Mustachio has unfortunately led to significant concern.

During my attempt to address the issue of finding a piece of metal in my sandwich, I encountered a staff member in a manner that left me feeling extremely unsettled. My request for a refund, due to my previous review, was denied, and the staff member followed me to another stall, where our conversation escalated quickly and became confrontational.

I felt intimidated by the staff member's approach and language, a stark contrast to the customer service I've previously known at St. Lawrence Market.

This incident has been reported to the appropriate authorities.

Sharing this update is important to me for the sake of transparency and helping patrons make informed decisions. My aim is not to discourage, but to offer a candid account of my recent experiences, with the hope that it leads to improvements in customer interactions at Uno Mustachio.

I would like to express my gratitude to the market's security team for their professionalism during this situation. I look forward to a resolution and hope to continue experiencing the positive atmosphere that St. Lawrence Market is known for.

METAL WIRE IN FOOD. I purchased a Godfather Veal Parmigiana on January 14th, 3:39pm. After finishing about 4/5th of the sandwich, I find something hard in my food, I pull it out and find this metal wire. I don't know if there were anymore pieces that I missed. Super dangerous. I've sent a report to Toronto...

My wife and I stumbled upon Uno Mustachio during a stroll through the market, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary adventure. She opted for the pasta with meatballs, while I indulged in the veal sandwich, and both choices left us thoroughly satisfied.

The pasta was a standout, with a rich tomato sauce and perfectly cooked meatballs. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the portions were more than generous. As for the veal sandwich, it was a symphony of flavors – the tender veal cutlet paired harmoniously with the cheese and vegetables, creating a truly delectable experience.

What truly impressed us was the unexpected extra item in our order. Despite our intention to return it and pay for it, the owner, whose name we regrettably didn’t catch, insisted on it being a gift. Such kindness and generosity only added to our positive experience.

We enjoyed our meal on the terrace, soaking in the ambiance of the market. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere makes Uno Mustachio a must-visit destination. Highly recommended for anyone craving a delicious...

Food: First time eating here again since pre-covid. Had the classic veal parm (parmigiana), and it doesn't get old! If you don't want to think about what to eat, just say "one veal parm with everything (toppings) on it, please!" You don't need to have this with a slice of mozzarella cheese because it's already good by itself.

Service: So just a word of warning, after they ask you what toppings, they'll catch you off-guard (while you're in a state of vulnerability eyeing what you could still have in the menu) with "do you want a mozzarella cheese with it?" SAY NO! 🤭

Atmosphere: Fortunately, there was an available seat just by the aisle, and it was nice to enjoy my fresh sandwich with a nice hot fresh cup of black drip coffee (from Everyday Gourmet, just around the croner), taking my time.

Also, as a proud Torontonian, in a way I was showing off what I was eating to most of the out-of-towners passing by, and I was glad to accommodate a tourist who asked me what...
