Went into starbucks today at around 2pm. To get a refund on two gift cards $50 each. I purchased on Saturday. I didn't have the receipt with me. I spoke to the store manager adriana casado. She advised me to call starbucks customer service. Fine. I called them twice on my cellphone. Both times the service representative hanged up on me. Hmmm. So I told adriana to call customer service from the store phone. At first she was reluctant to do so. Eventually, she decided she would. However, she didn't feel comfortable touching my gift cards because of covid-19. Okay, I told her to put gloves on her hand and access me gift cards. She said I was giving her attitude by telling her to put on gloves. So she can read the numbers off my gift cards. As a result, she would no longer be able to help me. I reached out for the store phone. She pulled the phone. She immediately told her other colleague, a caucasian girl with tattoos to call the police. When the police showed up, I was on my cellphone talking to Starbucks customer service. I was immediately arrested and handcuffed. I asked the police officer why she was arresting me. She said I had assaulted the service staff. I vehemently denied that. I advised them to go and watch the video and they would be proven wrong. Lo and behold, they did watch the video. I never touched anyone, I never assaulted her! So why then did she lie to the cops saying I assaulted her? I told the cops to charge these ladies for false information. Why haven't the police charged these starbucks employees for lying? Why? You lied so the cops would arrest me and charge me for assaulting you? What did you obtain for doing that? To see me lose my dignity and be handcuffed for something I didnt do? This company never reached out to apologize for what their employee did either. I will NEVER spend my money with...
Read moreI know we are all trying to get our coffee from local, Canadian owned cafés and I do get about 95% of my coffee from that source. However, Summer is here and Starbuck's Cold brew is just really hard to beat.
This Starbucks location has been an absolute staple of the neighbourhood and while I do not support the corporate entity, the staff who work at this Starbucks are unfailingly friendly cheerful, and helpful.
It is very rare that I ever have an issue with my drink at this Starbucks, but if there is even the slightest problem, they are more than happy to change my order. That is saying something for as picky a coffee drinker as me.
There is a small outdoor seating area here which has a very "Toronto in the summer" vibe. The indoor seating is comfortable and spacious and great for coffee and a chat.
If you're in the area and just need your cup of Starbucks this is a great...
Read moreI'm a regular customer and have been coming to this location daily/weekly ever since it's grand opening. Some of the staff are sweet, know me by name, and know my son by name. My husband and son went into Starbucks today (literally 10-15 mins ago from typing this). My son (toddler age) really needed to pee, there's a long slow line, and my husband asked to use the bathroom (He was going to purchase a tea for me and a cake pop anyway). They claimed that their new policy is you have to buy before you use the bathroom??? I've never heard of this before, and if I did, it's definately new and not needed, especially towards an obvious customer/child. I understand the sales have gone down and it's for "safety" but... to deny bathroom access to a 3 year old is uncanny. Definately won't be a regular customer anymore. It's really...
