EdgeWalk, CN Tower, Toronto, Ontario Canada
The EdgeWalk at the CN Tower has been operating ever since 2011 and every time I come back home to Toronto, Ontario Canada I want to do it, but I am always Scared!
Finally, I had the Courage to finally do it since I have already gone Skydiving with an Instructor out in Hawaii several years ago and I did Paragliding with an Instructor both in Rio De Janeiro, Brasil and Merida, Venezuela and I thought to myself.....What The Heck?
Just Do It And Get Over The Fear!
Ha Ha Ha...
Well as Nice as it was there were a Few Disappointments that I want to Get Out Of The Way First!
First Of All the price of $225.00 plus the taxes was Not Totally Worth It because You are there for 1.5 Hours, but You Are Only Walking Around The Edge Of The Tower for Only (30) Minutes Out Of The 1.5 Hours.
In Addition: They state that Your Video and Photos are Included, but You Will Find Out That Not All Of Your Photos Are Included In That Hefty Price That You Pay!
You Actually are Charged An Additional $25.00 Later On If You Wish To Pay For All Of The Photos That They Took Of Your Group (Since They Will Not Allow You To Take Your Own Cameras With You and I Can See Why They Do It This Way), However, Not All Of The Photos Are Even Good Either!
Other Than That, Yes, You Are Definitely Safe Up There because They Go Over All Of Their Safety Precautions, Requirements and Checks Before You Even Go Up There which is Important and the View From The EdgeWalk Is What Somebody Had Called As "Breathtaking"!
For ME, the View was "Memorable" and Yes, "Scary" even though I Knew I Was "Safe", but I Still Had This Fear and it is Quite Normal, but I Loved Looking At The Spectacular Scenery From All Around!
In Addition: You Do Get An Extra Ticket which is good for three (3) days to Visit The SkyPod Observation Deck as well!
You will also Get A Certificate Showing You What Number Person You Are To Experience The EdgeWalk and In My Case, I Was Number # 129,731.
Pretty Good!
This Was Definitely A One Of A Kind Activity and I Highly Recommend It If You Wish To Fork Out That Kind Of Money.
I want to personally Thank Jenn for providing us with a Fantastic and Safe Tour at the EdgeWalk and of course our group as well which consisted of Claire and Sara from Australia and Pepe from Mexico who joined Us In Our Adventure at the CN Tower back on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
Sincerely yours,

If you are in Toronto and get the chance to do this I would highly recommend it.
It's definitely a experience that starts a little scary but once you push last the two ropes holding your life it's a very enjoyable experience.
We had a 10am slot booked and we were advised to get there eat 9:30 am to fill out waivers (takes about 5 minutes to fill out). If it's a morning booking you can get there 15 minutes before your alloted time otherwise afternoon slots definitely turn up 30 minutes before because the waiver it's filled out on one of two tablets that supply.
At 10 you get pulled into a glass room to watch an observation health and safety video and then it's takes about 20 minutes to harness you up.
If you have a lot jewellery on then be sure to take it off before the suit up or if you can not wear it as they will ask you to remove it to prevent anything getting snagged in the harness wires or jump suit.
Jada the Tour guide was amazing, she ensured that everyone was comfortable and given many of us don't walk in the edge of building every other day that exactly the type of person you need.
There are cameras all around the edge walk so people in the main observation decks can watch you live as well.
We finished at 11:30 am which is on par with the 1 hour and 30 minutes timeframe. When I do this again I would do it for the sunset timing as I did it first thing in the morning this time.
After the experience you can actually leave the edge walk and return later to do the rest of the CN Tower as that ticket gives you that privilege, the tickets also grant you access to the main observation deck and the secondary higher observation deck.
I stayed and went straight to the main observation deck and had cold beer as it was needed after walking on the edge of a tower.
Went it early August during the peak summer period but I booked the tickets back in April 2025, given the build up to summer I'm thankful I did because by June 2025 the slots for the first week of August had nearly all gone.
Overall this was a great experience and definitely one of my top 3...
Read moreTLDR: You will walk 30 minutes after your booking time, don't listen to the staff if they say otherwise. Don't worry about arriving 30 minutes before your appointment slot, it's simply to sign 1 waiver.
The actual walk guides are fine, but Edgewalk hires anyone to be at the front desk fielding admin.
I booked a 730pm appointment for August 3, 2025, and got an email explaining to arrive 30 minutes early to prepare and sign in , etc.
Confused, I phoned to inquire if a 730pm reservation meant 730pm actual walk time - and that if this was the case I would change my reservation to 8pm to allow for a better alignment with sunset (835pm that day).
The rep. Explained to me that if I wanted to catch the sunset of 835pm, an 8pm slot would be better as I'll need to arrive at 730pm and can expect to be up on the edge between 8pm-830pm.
Ultimately, this was incorrect. I arrived at 730pm so I could sign a waiver, argue and be told that the employee that misinformed me is on maternity leave now and they will tell her when she gets back (lol?), and that nothing could be done.
My partner and I went up on tbe edge for 840pm and saw the city night lights - which was Ok. I tried to remain as positive as possible so not to ruin the experience, but clearly this was an experience that pre-planning served no benefit for.
I emailed explaining this and requested a refund on photos purchased post walk and received a useless response.
The experience is OK - our guide on the edge was really fun and cool.
The logistics were terribly handled and the ability to remain...
