I tried the Gyro bowl (salad + rice) and was not able to finish my food because something was off... it was bitter. I tried each ingredient little by little and the bitterness was coming from lettuce and tomato. Tomato was not properly cut so all pieces were still attached together and the lettuce was brown and soft.
As for the service, I don't like it when I can't see what they are adding or doing. For instance, I don't like onion and sumac in my salad and no one ask me if I want it or not. I am pretty certain the lady who was preparing my food did not change the gloves and also the gentleman who took my order was speaking so fast with deep accent that I had to ask him to repeat a few times.
There is no atmosphere at this location. There are a few seats and staff are not instructed to clean and organize them when a customer leaves. Instead, staff are busy with their phones if there is no customer. Someone was also fixing the entrance door and noise of machinery was too loud. Maintenance work should be done during off peak hours instead of 7pm that's the busiest hour.
Anyways, this is a super busy location and certainly have a lot customers but me as a neighbour will...
Read moreWe visited Tahini’s yesterday for the first time and had a lovely experience. The owner was incredibly sweet and helpful, especially since it was my first time trying shawarma. She patiently guided me through the vegetarian options, and everything tasted great. We also noticed their display of cheesecake and were really impressed. We came back the very next day like within 24 hours, just for the cheesecake because we were so excited to try it. Unfortunately, the experience this time was extremely disappointing. The cheesecake was frozen solid, not the quality we expected, especially since it was from The Cheesecake Factory, a brand known for its standards. On top of that, I found hair in the cheesecake, which was very off-putting. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they simply noted my information and said there was nothing they could do at that moment. But honestly, cravings are about the moment—and after 24 hours, I’m not going to crave the same thing again. I left feeling extremely let down and uncomfortable. Really hoping the hygiene and quality standards are taken more seriously in the future, especially when serving branded desserts.

Both were packed with bold, satisfying flavors and a generous portion size that hits the spot. What truly sets this place apart, though, is their lineup of signature fusion shawarmas. From buttery Indian-inspired blends to spicy Jamaican jerk and smoky Korean BBQ twists — they’ve turned a classic dish into something exciting. The blueberry shawarma especially caught me off guard. Sounds unusual? It is. But somehow, it works — sweet, tangy, and savory all in one bite. Totally recommend trying it at least once.
As for service, the staff working the night shift were top-notch. The guy behind the counter made sure every item in my order was fresh and prepared with care. He took the time to get everything just right and created a welcoming vibe that made the whole experience even better. Because of his effort and attention, I’ll definitely be back for more.
