Trinity Market is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and you immediately feel at home. The food is exceptional, and the locally sourced ingredients make for a fresh and flavorful experience. They have a great wine and beer selection, and their locally sourced options add an extra level of authenticity to the menu. The dining area is intimate and well-appointed, providing a cozy atmosphere for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner. The washrooms are impeccably clean, a testament to the care and attention to detail that the owners, Matt and Javier, take in running this establishment. The service is truly exceptional, with server Velisha and cook Ryan providing friendly and attentive service throughout our meal. The owners, Matt and Javier, are gracious hosts who go above and beyond to ensure that their guests have an exceptional experience. Street parking is readily available, making it easy to access this must-visit location. The value for the money is unbeatable, and Trinity Market is easily the best new local spot in town. It is a true 5-star experience and a must-visit for anyone looking for great food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere.

Stopped by with a gal pal for weekday lunch and we had such a great time! We both have hospitality backgrounds and really appreciated all the details that go into creating a space like this. It’s a polished, modern, cozy place here, a little bar and a few high tops. Loads of interesting wines and the snacks! Looking forward to eating through this menu as everything looked sooo good, this visit we had two variations of pizza, a butter chicken empanada and a little charcuterie selection. I would have liked to see a salad or something more fresh and verdant on the menu though. The wine was a wonderful compliment and recommended by our server. The Service was very knowledgeable and attentive, Matt and Javier were around and they really took care of us. The little wine tasting was happenstance and fun ! We are looking forward to coming back during the evening for some of that Prosecco.

What a perfect gem added to the Queen West neighbourhood! This unique little spot is ideal for tasty bites and offers an amazing wine selection, most of which you won't find in the LCBO. It's nice to have alternative options, especially if you're a bored of seeing the same selection everywhere you go. Last but certainly not least, the staff are a joy to interact with. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about what they do. They'll gladly walk you through the snacks and wine list, offering insightful recommendations and answering any questions you may have. I'll definitely be a regular!

Disappointing Experience – Overpriced, Unwelcoming, and Poorly Managed

Went to Trinity Market for a friend’s birthday and honestly, it was a letdown from the start. Despite our group being 30+ people, the owner was adamant about not allowing anyone from the party onto their patio. The inside of the venue is cramped and clearly not equipped to host a group that size, yet no accommodations were made whatsoever. Trying to make the best of it, I picked out a bottle of wine from their wall—overpriced, but whatever, it was a celebration. What they didn’t mention until after opening it was that there was a $23 corkage fee. That’s absurd. Most restaurants either don’t charge a corkage fee when you’re buying their wine or at least have the courtesy to mention it beforehand. There was no signage, no heads-up—just a surprise charge. Things only got worse from there. When we were ready to leave and had some wine left, we naturally wanted to take the bottle with us—we paid for it, after all. The owner stopped us and claimed it was illegal to take the bottle off the premises. We tried to ask questions calmly, hoping for a reasonable explanation, but he wasn’t having it. Instead of a conversation, we got told we were no longer welcome there. After looking up the law ourselves, it turns out we were allowed to take the bottle home as long as it was properly bagged—which the restaurant is required to do. So not only was the owner rude, but also wrong. All in all, Trinity Market left a really bad taste. Between the hidden fees, the inflexible policies, and the owner's condescending attitude, it’s safe to say we won’t be back. The place is overpriced, overhyped, and run by someone who clearly doesn’t care about...

Had such a weird experience here ... came with my friends for some drinks and snacks, both of which were great. When we got there the other tables had people in them, but as the evening went on, there were only a couple of other tables there (i.e. they were not slammed).

We had all long finished our drinks and our server never came and asked if we wanted to order more (we probably would have). Our glasses were just all sitting there empty for a good hour. We then asked our server to settle up, and it still was another 30 minutes before they even brought it over. We even wondered if we should go in and settle up.

I was a server for many years ,so I am always sympathetic, but it was a cooler evening and not busy at all.. so it was odd.

Which is all fine and well, except when we were settling up they all made us feel very uncomfortable. I always tip, even if the service isn't great, so I only tipped 10%, and same with several of my friends. My one friend still tipped 18%.

The main issue, was the server very bitterly said to us "thanks for the 10% tip" and then left.

It all left us with a very sour feeling in our mouths..

I get if you're having a bad night or going through something, but perhaps ask for feedback if you are concerned about the amount you are...
