Wide Open — Restaurant in Toronto

This place had the worse service I ever received. They had an extremely rude server (she was short with long brown hair )who served us one drink in the most miserable possible way. We were planning to drink more and one friend paid for the first round. This server was so disrespectful and racist. She was disrespecting us And started saying that there was no tip paid in our first round. She had a very horrible attitude and demeanour. We were confused as we always tip at the end and still wanted to buy more. She denied us service and drinks because of that and attempted to get us kicked out the bar. Even though we explained we were going to tip in the end of the service. This was the worse bar I ever been to. The staff here really needs to check their servers. And hire people who give better service and know how to treat customers.

I had a blast at Wide Open, the dive bar located on Spadina Avenue. My friends and I decided to pop in around 1 AM on a Friday night, and boy, were we in for a treat!

The bar was packed with people, and the energy in the place was infectious. The vibe was simply amazing, and the music selection was on point.

The staff at Wide Open were incredibly friendly and added to the already fantastic atmosphere. Their warm demeanor made us feel right at home, and it was evident that they genuinely cared about making sure everyone was having a great time.

The only minor drawback was that the bar is quite narrow, making it a little challenging to navigate when it's packed. But honestly, it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Always loved going here until last night. Monday night, purchased 5 separate rounds of drinks and tipped $6 for each of our $25 rounds. VERY rude waitress yelled to me that I hadn’t tipped once when I went to get the last round before we left. She attempted to make me look bad in front of the other people at the bar by raising her voice and accusing me of not tipping even though I had been more than generous AND even brought the empty glasses back from our table. Both stood behind the bar with the other waitress giving attitude anytime my friend and I ordered.

SO unprofessional and it seems that others had had issues with the waitresses to based on other google reviews. Spent at least $100 and should of gone elsewhere with proper service and waitresses who don’t stand behind a bar and lie/steal. Very filthy place as well.
