Emily Rose is a quaint café located in the Seaton Village area north Bloor west of Bathurst. I was drawn to the café after seeing that they have 5 star reviews on Google. I also happened to chance upon this café when redirected by Google maps one day on my way home. There is no indoor seating but they have two large benches flanking the front door where are you can enjoy your treats from the café.

I met Alessia the owner who was delightful. I asked her about the story behind the name of the café and she mentioned that it is named after both of her grandmothers who had both taught her how to bake when she was growing up. She was apologetic that by the time I arrived around 3:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon, they were sold out of all of their baked goods (of which they have received rave reviews). I noticed that they use Callebaut chocolate in their baking. There are also a few savoury spreads and jams available for sale.

I asked for recommendations regarding what they are most popular for in terms of their drinks. I was told they are known for their lavender latte. I ordered a Lavender oat milk latte which was absolutely delicious. The floral nature of the lavender was balanced nicely by the creaminess and richness of the oat milk. The coffee itself was smooth and not acidic. I found their prices quite reasonable for lattes and other beverages. My drink came to $4.80 for a medium latte with oat milk which was better than many of the larger chains out there.

I will definitely make an effort to try to come back here at an earlier time so that I can try some of their in-house...

It's a nice little neighborhood coffee spot. There is a small selection of cookies, muffins, bars and squares.

There is an espresso machine and my cappuccino was acceptable.

The baked goods I believe are made in house from scratch. This is a good thing.

Not much for seating, some planter box benches out front. There are a number of green spaces within a short walk where you can find a bench.

The entrance is accessible, but on a bit of an incline. Cash and cards accepted. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

I look forward to checking back to see how this new-ish spot evolves.

I give...

I recently visited Emily Rose Cafe and was very satisfied! The interior is cozy, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly—perfect for relaxing or working in quite.

The coffee was of excellent quality—I ordered a late, and the flavor was excellent rich. The selection of cake is also worth noting—I tried their coconut cake, and it was simply amazing 😍!

The service is top-notch—the staff is polite, friendly, and quick to respond to all requests.

Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves quality coffee, a great homely atmosphere and...

This little corner cafĂ© is tucked into a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, super cozy and charming. I tried their cheddar and chive scone and it was delicious. The cappuccino though was a bit disappointing. It tasted more bitter than I expected, and not as smooth as coffees I’ve had at other nearby spots. Could’ve just been an off day, but it didn’t wow me. Their patio is really lovely, and inside there’s a nice bar table by the window with cute street views. Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially for coffee. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Emily Rose is the best new cafe in the Annex/Seaton Village area by far! Not only do they have amazing customer service, but the food and drinks from this place are creative and taste incredible. I love this new little cafe and would recommend it to anybody, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! :) My new favourite is the Iced Earl Grey Tea with oat milk and vanilla. Thank you Emily Rose!
