Single mom on a super tight budget, but wanted to treat myself for dinner after a long day with a fussy baby! However, the problems started as I walked in the door, and felt like I was greeted by the posse of Mean Girls. No hello, no how can I help you. They gave the impression that I was imposing on them.
Then my bill came up higher than I was expecting for a take out order, only to find the prices in store weren't the same as advertised on their own website. So that was a bummer.
They then gave me my food, and each item I ordered was in its own bag. Which wouldn't have been an issue in and of itself, but they apparently had no bags or boxes available to carry out. Hard to navigate carrying separate bags and holding my baby, while trying not to burn myself because they put the food in bags so you have no choice but to hold the bottom.
I get home, and the food isn't great. The spaghetti is super bland. I'd have a better taste experience with a jar of Ragu. And 2 small meatballs that tasted as if they were frozen from a box. Absolutely disappointing from a place that literally has spaghetti in its name. Even the cesaer salad was unpleasant and soggy. I expected better.
Can't say I'll be back, nor would I feel right recommending this to someone else. If it didn't require me to load up my baby to go back, I'd have returned this all. Absolutely not worth the $27 dollar bill, that's for sure. Maybe this is why they only had 2 tables at 5pm on a Saturday...
Read moreToday is June 2n 2024 and it was around 5pm. Two young girls at the service desk were making fun of us as we were ordering. She asked if we want our pepsis in a can or glass we said glass. She put ice in the glasses and we asked for a fourth glass. Also, I asked that we do not want ice in the glasses. The girl emptied the glasses and pushed them towards me with a rude gesture. laughing at our accent and being rude are disrespectful behavior. You just say they were racist. It is a problem with most small town girls mentality. They have very limited point of view and has seen much of the world and other cultures. I have traveled around the world and lived in many countries. People in big cities are more knowledgeable open minded and aware of other cultures and have more respect. But, some small town people are like these girls. I came to Hinton every year I have not been experiencing something like this. These girls reminded me of another town. We just asked for our order and no ice in our glasses. I didn't want our day to go bad and waste our time otherwise it was worth it to talk to their management. On the other hand I stopped to get a milkshake at Fatburgs here in Hinton they were very busy and it took time for them to prepare my order. I know they were busy and didn't say anything. The order desk person apologized and wrote a free milkshake to compensate for...
Read moreWe saw some good reviews and thought we'd give it a try. It was not good. First off you have to order right away at the counter, then go sit down somewhere. Then they call your order number like a fast food restaurant, and you have to go get it. Definitely not a relaxing type experience right off the bat. It makes you feel put on the spot and under pressure instantly when you walk in the door, with staff standing there watching you while you akwardly try to decide what to order. But we were hopeful about the food. Well that wasn't good either. The fries were ok I guess, not super hot, but at least not soggy. But the burger was gross. It tastes like some sort of cheap greasy pre fab frozen burger. Our 9 month old wouldn't even eat the burger meat, and this kid eats practically anything! Then who I can only imagine was the owner (which is great to be hands on in a business) was, what appeared to be, micro managing the staff and had them all of a sudden washing the glass of the doors right beside our table. So nothing beats eating sub par food while taking in the aroma of glass cleaner. Needless to say we won't be...
