We stopped in early on Sunday July 14, after camping for a few nights at Cabot Beach. We were tired, hungover, and had had a little wake n bake.... We walked in, dazed and confused, and had no idea what to expect other than we had heard it was "really good" . The young lady taking our orders at the counter was patient, polite, and offered great suggestions which made the process easier for tourists unfamiliar with the menu. She was exactly what we needed in that moment and deserves a lot of kudos for the way she handled everything. Sometimes, in places like this, the menu can be overwhelming and staff can make you feel silly for not being able to decide or understanding how everything works immediately. We waited for our take-out with our drinks, playing Mario Kart. The vibes inside were immaculate, welcoming, visually pleasing and the bathrooms were very clean! The food and coffee was absolutely incredible too. We all got various breakfast bagels. I wish I lived closer I would come all the time, Kensington locals you are lucky to have this gem.

If you are looking for something fun, try C-B Bakery. They open at 8am until 2pm. You can get a good classic egg breakfast with roasted PEI potatoes, two eggs your way, bacon or sausage and artisan bread toast. Of course everyone is friendly and the place is full of fun stuff on the walls. There is a couch for those that want to relax with their coffee. The coffee table/trunk in front of the couch has some children's toys, newspapers and a Where's Waldo book. This is definitely family friendly and senior friendly. There is a children's menu and there is a senior breakfast. Also there is electric charging for your car across the street.

Firstly, they have the advantage of being the only non-full restaurant within a 20km radius because everything is closed in October apparently. That said, the pizza was awesome and they should do pizza night more often. Plus, they were filling LOTS of orders but they didn't take too long getting ours done. The cheese, crust and sauce were all delicious. One note, there was too much sauce in some areas, making the crust softer and harder to hold. The portion size was good for two people. There is EV charging nearby. Recommended: Mango lemonade, the works pizza Not recommended: lavender black iced tea

10/10 not 5/5 for this place . Their ginormous homemade bagels have made my 5:30 mornings a lil less painful . If you haven’t had the garlic finger one, I suggest you do so. They remind me not of a dense mass market bagel, but rather closer to “nans fresh baked dinner rolls or white bread fresh out of the oven”, then boil it, and top with a dump truck worth of bacon and cheese.

I also have to say I’m pretty obsessed with just walking into this place. I always tell people my soul got locked in the 90s and I’ll never let go of that. Walking into c&b is like teleporting to the 90s with a modern razzle dazzle. Megan’s( the owners) personality - painted on the walls. The names of their drinks and specials are iconic. The staff are all so perfectly suited for the cafe, I don’t know how to explain that, but their personalities just suit it. No I’m not getting paid for this review, I just really like good food and nostalgia . Worth popping in to this...
