This is definitely a classic spot in Sylvan Lake and one of those places you just always plan to hit whenever you go to the lake. Who doesn’t crave a cold ice cream after a hot day at the water?! Their variety of ice creams is fantastic, even seeing lactose free options. Everything from Maple Walnut, sherbets, bubblegum and pistachio. This trip we ordered a baby size ($3.60) chocolate mint (classic and good) and rocket fuel (similar to bubblegum in taste but maybe a bit more grape tasting); they were just the right size for the kids. And we also ordered single scoops ($5.15) of the wild spicy chocolate and churro (this was my top fav that we ordered, it was the hardest/coldest one so it didn’t melt quite as fast either, but the Flavor was super unique and I love that spicy hit you get) and the pineapple sherbet( very refreshing and light, perfect for a hot summer day). The ice cream was really soft and seemed to melt extremely fast, wishing it was a bit colder/harder. But after knowing that I recommend you find a seat and eat it right after you order it. Service was fast, we didn’t have to wait long to order and the staff were good about double checking flavor choices. Handing us each cone as they scooped it. These places also sell a variety of floating devices for some good lake time and Sylvan Lake memorabilia. Parking in Sylvan Lake is all pretty much payment required unless you park a few...
Read moreWe do really like this place but honestly I’m kinda disappointed after today. The ice cream already costs more than most places & YES I understand exactly why but my daughter walked out the door & her ice cream immediately dropped right off the cone cause it wasn’t pressed into the cone hard enough. We went back in showed them the cone & they had us REPAY almost $8 so I didn’t have a crying daughter. No it’s not expected for them to replace it but really? I have never experienced that before anywhere it was so disappointing. Especially cause no one else was in the store it’s not like it was disruptive to their work to stop & do that. I’m upset & it’s bothering me that the store is overpriced but we were made to pay 2 times before they didn’t even press the ice cream...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer who genuinely loves More Moo’s ice cream, but I was really disappointed to discover a large number of used ice cream containers tossed out behind the shop... clean, stackable, and clearly reusable or recyclable. I reached out privately with a photo, hoping to ask if there was a recycling or reuse program in place, but never received a reply.
In a time when environmental responsibility matters more than ever, it’s disheartening to see such waste from a local business, and even more so to be ignored when trying to raise the issue respectfully. I really hope More Moo considers adopting more sustainable practices and starts treating community concerns with the care...
